We are close to Bristol here and quite a few city fans around this area. A copy of that top flag is flown about a mile from my house on a flagpole by a lad I’ve met a few times. He’s a Liverpool fan, with a season book at city, who supports rangers. He has never been to Glasgow or Liverpool. He’s a nice enough lad but a *…

    Jumping ahead here but
Anyone get a ticket for the Preston game in the ballot!?. Seen a guy in Manchester got 3 tickets!.
I probably wouldn't bother as can't see the point for a such a low crowd and also not worth the travel esp with different levels of restrictions everywhere.
Should be a local ballot for only 2k tbh .

Not sure it is worth giving Osaze any more game time after that first showing, would rather see O'Connor in the second XI. Montgomery, Hjelde, and Moffat game time too please.

You should start to see the shape and personnel we’ll be heading into the qualifier with in this and the Preston game at the weekend. All about getting the team acquainted with it now.

A disaster that there’s no new faces in the door right enough.

If Starfelt is having a physical early morn in Moscow, probably no way he can get to Bristol in time for kick off.

Keen to see how he goes against Preston though...

Canny wait for this. Expecting us to start with something close to what will line up against Midtjylland.

    Barkas
    Ralston Welsh Bitton Taylor
    Soro
    Turnbull McGregor
    Dembele Ajeti Johnston

Hopefully see Hjelde and Shaw get decent minutes.

Wish this was tomorrow, could potentially get Starfelt and Soppy/Boey involved. Would still play them against Midjtyland if they're fit.

Is this our last pre season game before the qualifier next week?

What a * show either way. Can't believe we have not signed many players at all.

With confident wins over Sheffield Wednesday and Charlton Athletic under their belts in the last seven days, Celtic aim to make it three from three on their pre-season tour of England and Wales this evening against Bristol City.

Hoops manager Ange Postecoglou has named a strong starting XI for the occasion which kicks off at 7:45pm at the Robins High Performance Centre – the English Championship side’s training facility.

Having featured in the first half of Saturday’s 2-1 win over Charlton, Vasilis Barkas starts between the sticks, with Tony Ralston, Osaze Urhoghide, Stephen Welsh and Greg Taylor in front of him.

In midfield, Ismaila Soro joins Callum McGregor, Karamoko Dembele, Mikey Johnston and David Turnbull; with Albian Ajeti leading the line at the top end of the pitch.

Speaking exclusively to Celtic TV ahead of tonight’s game, the Swiss striker said he’s keen to keep his scoring run going having netted in both friendly matches so far.

Subs this evening include Scott Bain, Olivier Ntcham, Liam Shaw, Scott Robertson, Dane Murray, Ewan Henderson, Adam Montgomery, Leo Hjelde and Owen Moffat.

Tonight’s match is part of our Pass to Paradise for all Season Ticket holders, and Paul Cuddihy will be joined by former Celt Joe Ledley with all the latest news from the training camp, plus all the matchday build up live from Bristol where we’ll hear from the manager before kick-off.

From 7:45pm, broadcaster John Hardy will take over on commentary alongside Joe Ledley.

CELTIC: Barkas; Ralston, Welsh, Urhoghide, Taylor; Soro, McGregor, Dembele, Turnbull, Johnston, Ajeti

Subs: Bain, Ntcham, Shaw, Robertson, Murray, Henderson, Montgomery, Hjelde, Moffat
