Ahhh didn't know they both played the same position I thought it was a LB and RB. Good to see a bit of movement finally though.

We also have that Watford academy poty to come in also.

 

Think one may be able to play left back, but websites seem to suggest both are actually right back.

I know little to nothing of either anyway so what do I know

It's a large outlay for a backup replacement, but my concern is the inexperience as such. If he comes in and needs adjustment time, brought up to speed, has a bad patch etc, there would be no fall back.
Would rather see someone in an age range that knows how to play a full season, to also bed this guy in of course.

 

We are clearly bringing him in as no1 choice? I don't get what you mean when you say backup replacement.

 

He's played 24 games in one season, he's just breaking in to a squad. I know very little of him, but on the face of it, that is a risk to expect him to be our starting RB in a club our size with our ambition where we are going to play 60ish games.

He very well may be the guy who steps in and just takes it by storm, but on the face of it, a 19 year old with just over 20 games to his name, seems like a little bit of a risk if you ask me.
Would be more happier to bring in an Elhamed or Lustig alongside him, a season or two of both playing, and then let him make the position his own once he has settled and grown as a player.

 

I know what you're trying to say but Frimpong made that position his own within 3 months of being here and not playing a single game. He will be brought in as first choice but I think we should sign both boys from Rennes.

 

Don't think they'll sign him unless they offload Kamara, but I agree we should be in about this, could easily get triple what we paid for him in a few years.

 

Not really sure many will get too carried away. Yes, its potentially bodies in the door but is it adding much quality?

Are they upgrades on what we have or is it replacing the quality heading the other way?

 

Lots of players have buy out clauses.
It doesnt mean teams need to pay that money to secure them.
They can still accept bids below that.

Ralston and Taylor should be enough to scare anyone into the market for replacements and the scary thing is that we've know this for a year now!

 

I think he does with Taylor, with the noise Bolingoli has been making I'm certain he'd have started today if he was fit.

Not saying for one second boli should be starting, but I think he'll be our backup this year over Taylor.
