Bad press concerning Ajer is not going to help Celtic to recruit new players. Such a shortsighted approach from the board. It really appears that they don't have a clue.

    Just get rid.

The fact he’s got his pal, who’s involved in the fan media tells you how desperate he is to go.

£15 million? I'd drive him to Brentford myself or whoever is offering that. Good all round player, but never a commanding centre half. He is more than replaceable. We picked up Julien for half that and he is a far better defender.

He will go with my best wishes because he did apply himself last season even though he didnt really want to be here. As for the likes of Edouard....just * right off, couldnt care less how his career goes after Celtic, his attitude last season was stinking.

100% agree - I couldn't believe it when I read that we had turned down 12m up front + 3m in add-ons. Assuming that we include the usual sell-on percentage, we should have jumped at that.

In today's market - 15m for Ajer is a decent fee - we will never get 20m.

These fuckwits on the board will end up with an unhappy player going through the motions. If we're lucky we'd get 4m in Jan or more likely he'll sign a pre-contract with someone else.

Same thing happened with boyata, penny pinching costs us in both recruitment and sales, it's what this board is all about

    * the press, they've all got agenda's, and transfers will happen anyway.

Gotta be honest, my read on this is we want similar to the Southampton transfers, where we're happy to sell but only AFTER European qualifiers are decided, and if so I'm happy with that... Don't believe for a second we're gonna risk a £15M transfer for a guy in his last year, after the Boyata debacle

£12m up front? Was that confirmed? I genuinely can’t see us not accepting that, that’s madness if true.

I can, the board will have gone, "* someone has agreed to what we wanted, we clearly didn't ask for enough"

If you went to buy a car off them, agreed to pay their asking, you'd arrive and they'd be hitting you with "there's 4 others interested, if you want it I need another grand now" same with trying to buy something, if they had an offer accepted they'd go "sorry, I forgot I need to pay something else, can you do a tenner less"

And we wonder why and blame players like Eddy, Christie etc for not signing contract extensions. This is the exact reason why..

I know it's Football Insider but apparently Brentford are about to offer us more money up front and less in add ons with the Ajer deal. Hard to believe anything that comes from that rag but if it is true, could explain why we are moving forward on a few fronts the last couple of days

Aye that would make sense as to why we're pulling the trigger on a few..

Someone at the club must be close to leaving..

If the board manage to pull off a sale of over £15m with potential add ons, kudos to them. Brilliant business.

I don't see why we didn't accept the 12 mill and negotiate a bit on the sell on. Push for 15/20%.

If he proves him self at Brentford (lol) then they would surely be looking for a big pay day.

I reckon the sell on is fine. Celtic always ask for 10/15% of the next sale. I think they believe that his value is £20m and want as close to that as possible. It's worked for Ajer, looks like we are struggling to sell Eddy

Imagine taking the huff over a move to Brentford. I don't care what league they play in, it's laughable. I honestly can't comprehend why no actual big teams are in for him. With the right coaching he could play at the top level.

I thought he would suit Arsenal. Maybe not the best defensively for them but he's brilliant on the ball and that suits them and Arteta

Brentford is a better move than Norwich IMO.

2 or 3 of that Danish squad at Brentford too, now. Would fancy them to surprise a few in the EPL tbh. More so than Norwich.

Main thing is we get our money.
