    This is the issue, do you prepare for the season or prepare for Europe?

    This is an issue made by last seasons * show, having to play these qualifiers this early into the preseason, that was down to the mismanagement of the club last year, Ange is still picking up the pieces and playing catch-up.

    Unfortunately I think we should write off the ECL this season, it comes far to early and could hamper progression in footballing terms. We need a back to basics approach, running before we can walk will be detrimental, to club and players alike.

    For me, it isn’t a choice between them.

    If you prepare as best as you possibly can for Europe then you’ve done your prep for domestic football.

    Can totally see why Eddie Howe didn’t come. I honestly don’t want to be a doom monger but it’s a shambles that we haven’t signed anyone with a week to go until our first competitive game.

    The feel good factor that came back for me slightly has completely gone.

    Mitchell Bakker, the left back we were linked with from PSG last year has just signed with Bayer Leverkusen for just £8.5m. Considering the talent he has and some of the games he played for PSG, surprised the price was so low. Not that we can compete with teams like that but for the price? It would have been a good bit of business
