The English media is the reason so many want them to fail. Not the players, don’t mind any of them apart from Kane. See they have turned on them already even calling out Grealish and Sterling (surprise) for not taking a pen. Looking for scapegoats even the lad Grealish has had to come out and say he wanted to take one.

The Germany game is actually really hurting them....They wont admit it,but a majority of even * teams would have beaten the Germans in this Tournament.

The guy is 100% correct in that phone in...They had an easy Tournament and still * it up.

90% Home games....Ukraine/Germany and Denmark (who should have been in the final)....And then a big boy in ITALY.

They have plummeted to the ground this morning and its fantastic

I can’t pretend that I wasn’t glad that England lost the penalty shootout, that I didn’t celebrate it and that I wasn’t actively hoping for every single one of their players to miss, but I have to admit, even in the moment I felt sorry for Rashford, Sancho & Sako for the inevitable abuse that was heading their way. You knew from the moment that a black player missed what was going to happen. People are always going to get a slagging for missing a penalty, that’s just part of the game, but the abuse those three have received is genuinely disgusting.

I said it in a post after the Denmark game, and I’ll say it again here, they genuinely have one of the worst supports in world football. I’m not even talking about the over the top, undeserved arrogance that they exude every time an international competition rolls around (although that’s arguably a symptom of the more serious cultural attitudes that permeates English society) but the bigoted/racist/xenophobic and violent, anti-social tendencies that they regularly display.

They abuse their own players for daring to protest against racism, they constantly boo other nations anthems (including those they don’t even have any real history or animosity with), they cause trouble wherever they go and just generally create an unsafe environment from which even their fellow countrymen aren’t safe from.

Marcus Rashford is one of the rare examples of an actually likeable English player. This is a guy who, particularly throughout the pandemic, has not only campaigned for numerous good causes, but actually provided legitimate financial backing and support to boot. Quite frankly, he’s put many other people of similar means, and the so called government itself, to shame with the work he’s done in recent times. To see the gammon-faced, EDL loving wanks in their support abuse him because he missed a penalty is * disgusting. I also saw the snidey comments from the Tory MP and some little * from GB News telling Rashford to spend more time practicing penalties rather than getting involved in politics. Rashford has made more positive contributions to society in the last year than those two cretins will make throughout their entire lifetime. He’s the sort of person that they should be getting young players to try and emulate, and maybe in the future they won’t need to do a Phil Foden and have to idolise/cosplay as a wife-beating jakey.

In the case of Sancho & Sako, the former is one their brightest talents and the latter, a teenager, was arguably one of their better players throughout the tournament. Funnily enough, much of the booing and racially charged comments seemed to disappear when it was ‘coming home’. But that’s all obviously forgotten now in favour of racially abusing them.

While I get why all three will want to be involved in the national setup (whether it be for the ‘honour’ of representing your country, or to inspire youngsters from similar backgrounds) if it was me, I’d be half tempted to pack it in. I certainly wouldn’t want to be representing a country whose fanbase (or at least a fairly sizeable portion of) are going to racially abuse either me or my teammates whenever we mess up (and occasionally when we don’t).

Why should Denmark have been in the final? I watched the game and England was clearly better. Denmark camped and was pulling off save after save, and it was only a matter of time. Just like last night, England camped because they had a goal and it was only a matter of time until Italy broke through. Its like when huns do well in Europe its always the other teams are * head in sand there no good. Credit where due, they got to the final and if they had a good manager would probably get to the majority of them with the embarrassment of attacking players... that sit on the bench for inferior ones. Agent Southgate :56:

Just watched the lunch time news and they are now talking about "Gareth's heroes" being better equipped to win the World Cup and how they united the country etc. Funny enough, very little said about the violence from last night just in case it shows how just how fragile that unity really is (especially if you're black). So, it looks like we are going to be in for more OTT comments over the next year leading right up to Qatar. They never learn - arrogant, self entitled pompous feckers

Yep and especially after going 1-0 up after 2 mins last night.Don’t think I’ve ever heard commentators going from being so arrogant and cocky to being so deflated when Italy equalised, was bliss:56:

They are like just like fans who have the privilege and enjoyment of playing for their country. Love their passion and I just wish our players had the same passion when pulling the Hoops jersey over their heads
