Oddly enough of us had something in common last night I even seen a protestant say she was saying the rosary and praying to * England got beat

 

Didn't see the result til this morning. So glad, I don't think I'd care if England fans weren't such arrogant *. Reminded me of Liverpool fans coming out of the woodwork last year. Also people at work saying it was an easy win.

England are actually have a better team than the one he puts on the pitch. Sancho is tearing up Germany, pretty sure he's near the top of the goals and assists charts in europe but doesn't get a game and a 19 year old always goes on before him and never does anything when needing a goal...

I'm pretty sure he said if he made attacking changes earlier they may have lost.... you did loose England should treat 1-1 as loosing because they won't ever win a penalty shootout with the biggest keeper ever seen on planet earth...monster of a man.
You could set that team up to really be feared with the attacking talent available but he sets it up to defend. People won't ever admit it because they hate England but if they actually had a mancini etc as manager with this team they'd walked that final. Italy was a sleep for most the first half but Southgate chose to defend.

Anyway Southgate will still be manager and that means no trophys, and finally back to normal football and we can get back to calling international football pish for stopping our weekly real games bring on the champions league qualifiers!! (With no new players ffs)

Game rating 3/10 was bored stiff until penalties.

Sterling's dive punished- justice has been served. I knew it back then that England can't handle penalties- they normally don't dive that much. I would have preferred Denmark in the finals, but Italy deserve gratitude for saving the world from English media arrogance.

Got no English relatives myself but my wife has. Part of the family WhatsApp group. Been posts all day yesterday about how it's coming home etc etc. At full time I posted a pic of Southgate taking his trophy cabinet back to IKEA. Abuse received. Imagine that was my team etc etc. You canny handle it, don't dish it out was my response. Then promptly left the group. * em.

 

They beat a poor German team at home, stuttered past Denmark at home, and then got beat in the final by Italy at home. The draw worked in their favour, the location of the games was most certainly in their favour, and they have still failed to deliver. They have done enough to keep Southgate in a job thankfully, because a proper manager with the attacking players they have would make them a far better team in my opinion.

 

Last night was pure magic.

4 week roller coaster that saw them get every advantage going up to and even during the final…

It’s always nervy watching them progress but you know they will go out to one of the big guns eventually.
This was nervier than ever with them actually making the final this time.

Bigger nerves but a bigger crash to enjoy once it finally happens… and this was a beauty.
