Well he was barely in the door when he said they were staying on.

In fact, when he got asked about them staying, he said “I never thought otherwise.” Does that mean they were staying regardless? I would say it does suggest that.

Why would a new manager want to keep coaches from a previously failed team? Why do you think he would want them to stay?

Why would you want to keep players from a previously failed team?

You’re asking me completely pointless questions knowing fine well I’ve got no place to answer them.

I have given you guys black and white quotes from the guy who is actually making the decisions, and all I have had back is opinionated nonsense.

Because there is good players in that team, but they were coached horrendously, something Kennedy and Strachan were a big part of.

You have posted quotes that you believe to be true. Personally I think you have got your head buried in the sand. This board are taking the fans for a ride, and yet again fans are falling for it.

I think most of us agree Lennon was the main problem last season, some of the * he came out with, stubborn, arrogant, downright toxic, you could see in the dugout and on the pitch nobody was happy. That doesn't mean we sack all the coaching staff and half the squad. Kennedy worked fine under Rodgers as a coach, wasn't there talk of him trying to take him south with him? I have no problem with him, Strachan, or anyone else that was here last season being kept on, if they get with the program and are following the new managers instructions.

See when Lennon left, did anyone expect Kennedy and Strachan still to be at the club this season? It’s actually laughable that they are both still here.

Rodgers had his own tried and trusted team around him, JK wasn't his right hand man.

I do agree that Lennon was the main problem, ultimately the blame lies with the Board for allowing it to continue for so long.

Are you saying the manager, Ange Postecoglou, is lying?

I think he will have been told what to say to the media if asked about them and the situation.

So you’re saying (if your opinion is fact) that he’s been told to lie, and that he’s willingly tried to fool the Celtic support?

Kennedy was also a coach for 4 Trebles in a row though. He coached that team.

In which case, his position would be intenable for me.

I think we have had this discussion before. You are right, he was a coach during the successful period we had. Under Rodgers though, it would have been a minor role compared to when he was working with Lennon as he moved up the ranks. That shouldn't have any bearing on whether he remains here or not though. Last season was as big a capitulation as you are likely to see. That was under the watch of Lennon and Kennedy. That should mean that manager and assistant are both gone in my opinion.

Do we even know what Kennedy is being kept on as yet? Is he getting demoted, or will he assistant manager next season?

I believe he will be following orders from his bosses.

So basically handwaving the successes and blaming him for the failures?

He was part of the coaching staff that won 8 trophies outwith Rodgers as well btw.

I think comparing the role under Rodgers and Lennon is comparing apples and pairs.

It was a minor coaching role with Rodgers which he does fairly well if going by comments from people better best placed than me. My angst is when he moved up the ranks as a No2 and then interim boss.
His failings there were very easy to see, we all remember them I'm sure.

Now that my initial anger and pissiness over the announcement from Postecoglou has subsided I guess it all depends in what seat he is sitting in when we get down to business.
If he's a No2 my anger and pissiness will no doubt return with a vengeance.

Managers are often economical with the truth, that's nothing new, like all managers he will be judged on results.
