Yeah I read that, but if you also read the comments from Lawwell about when Deila was appointed, he said that Deila had the options of three assistants that he wanted, and chose Collins.

I think Keane talks out of the hole in his * at times.

They are forced to accept them if they want the job. It’s absolutely ridiculous. Both Kennedy and Strachan should have been shown the door the same time as Lennon leaving. No top manager is ever going to accept the job if they are unable to bring their own team with them. You couldn’t mark Kennedy’s neck with a blowtorch.

Then they are also "forced" to accept the players at the club also if they want the job.

I agree with you, Kennedy and Strachan should have been out the door, but clearly Ange has assessed them and is more than happy to work with them. That's HIS choice and no others'

Getting a wee bit silly now.

We are just back at square one, I don’t think he has assessed them, I think he has been forced to take them if he wants the job, which he was never going to turn down. That’s my opinion, like it is your opinion that Ange has decided himself that he wants them here. None of us know for certain.

    It's not my opinion.

ANGE POSTECOGLOU plans to keep John Kennedy at Gavin Strachan at Celtic with him, reports say.

Kennedy stepped in as interim boss at Parkhead at the end of last season following the dismissal of Neil Lennon in February.

And clouds have circled over his and Strachan's roles at the club ever since Lenny's departure.

Postecoglou has been impressed with the duo since he took over at Parkhead and is open to the idea of keeping them around.

The pair have been working closely with the new boss on Celtic's pre-season camp in Wales.

Asked about keeping them at the club, Postecoglou said: "I never thought otherwise.

"My history is if there’s good people in the building then there’s no reason to change it.

"So far all the staff have been excellent and have embraced where we want to go to.

"I will back my judgment in all these things. I take responsibility at the end of the day. We need to add to our staff for sure.

"We will be bringing in people at the appropriate time. Not necessarily in the coaching area but there’s other areas we need to bolster."

Why would any manager want to keep on coaches from a complete disaster of a previous regime?

I think it’s naive to think Postecoglou genuinely wants them both here. I think both of them were always going to be here, regardless of who the new manager was going to be.

People on here need to realise how this * board works and I knew when Howe knocked the job back there must have been a good reason for it and now we know and taking the job they need to keep Kennedy and Strachan.
I keep thinking Kennedy must be the eyes and ears of the board and no other reason he should be still here through four managers .
I think most managers knew it was no point going for the Celtic job as they couldn't have their own backroom team and the club is right now is a * joke from the board to recruitment of players .

With the exception of Rodgers it's a familiar pattern, neither Ronnie, Lenny or Ange were ever gettin a bigger gig than Celtic, the Board know they can exploit that when it comes to negotiations, a blind man can see what's going on here.

The manager hasn't assessed anything, he's been told by the Board that the chuckle brothers are part of the terms, take it or leave it.

No manager worth his salt would touch the job with a bargepole.

If it came down to Howe not wanting the job because of Kennedy do you really believe the board wouldn't get rid of him? They don't owe him anything and he's quite clear they wanted Howe. I don't see how it would be a deal breaker.

The most likely problem in my eyes is that Howe had cold feet and was holding out to see what else came up. Time is obviously short for us in the Summer and eventually we've had give him an ultimatum then moved on.

The Board are telling him what to say, how can he possibly assess JK and Strachan, do you honestly think if he didn't rate them they'd be gone ?

It suits the narrative that they know the club, players, city etc etc and therefor they are beneficial to the manager, they would be at the club regardless of who the manager was.

So he’s an actor reading off a script aye? Very good.

How can he assess Kennedy and Strachan? By watching them obviously…

It was a quick assessment if there was one.

Do you think he assessed them in the same way he assessed Griff and Ralston ?
