I feel like I’m at rock bottom with the club now. I’m absolutely gutted that last season and the way we are being treated hasn’t galvanised this support into action.

Ange looks like a good manager and I feel positive about him, but he’s way out of his depth. Even Rodgers struggled with this board, what hope does Ange have?

He’s already been naive taking the job without guarantees about his own staff. It will be sinking in now how * his situation is.

If he’s the man I hope he is then it should be a short road. An ultimatum now: progress next week or I walk. An embarrassment like that might actually effect change at this club. We need to kick this board out pronto.

The lack of transfers is seriously alarming. I wasn't expecting anything particularly impressive in the first place, however to get to this stage and not improve a depleted squad is frightening.

Theres still a reassuring voice in my head telling me we will come out of this period a stronger club but the lack of transfers is really making me think twice about that. I know Dom is only just in post but he really needs to pull something out of the bag this week.

All the best to ange and the bhoys for the game. Hail hail bhoys

How is he out of his depth? We've only played a couple of friendlies.

Also, why would he issue an ultimatum, a couple of weeks into a new job, when he's just moved himself and his family literally around the other side of the globe?

    1. He’s out of his depth with the board, not in a footballing sense.

    2. Because they’re not supporting him. Like you say, he’s moved half way around the world and probably in the process of moving his family. If they won’t support him, he should leave. i.e. an ultimatum. It’s a better alternative that getting the * ripped out of you. Why wouldn’t he issue an ultimatum?

Are people aware that there’s 6 weeks or so left in the transfer window?

If we’re shafted and he’s shafted at the end of that then we can go tonto.

I wish we’d get a move on and help for the qualifiers but honestly, if we get quality in rather than just guys we can get easy just now who might just be making up the numbers then I’m alright.

We won’t know until we can judge our business at the end of the window.

Watching his interviews with Celtic TV he seems a bit grumpy sounding. Possibly normal for him but maybe he’s * about not getting the players he feels the squad has needed for the last 1 year+?

Yep. People need to get their head round the fact it’s not just about transfers.

Celtic isn’t being run properly. Celtic will not achieve its potential, or anywhere close to it, until it is being run properly.

We’ll sign a couple of players eventually, of course we will. It doesn’t change anything.

They’re not communicating any fundamental and desperately needed changes because * all is happening behind the scenes. We’re the same * outfit being run by inadequate men that we were when we hired the ex-Hibs boss in the showers.

Ange must be scratching his head in disbelief that a club this big and prestigious is run like this. Thank * he has his loyal assistant John Kennedy to turn to for support.

But why would we expect change? There’s * all pressure for change from the support.

Its the fact that we have seen this scenario playing out all too often recently. Pausing negotiations with the swede because were waiting to see how the ajer situation pans out is laughable.

I agree but we won’t know what the backing is until the windows done and dusted.

This is the issue though. By that point it's usually too late. How many years in a row now have we went into the CL qualifiers underprepared?

Too many bullshit excuses. We sold Frimpong and Elhamed in January, so we've been needing a right back for 6 months. We're 10 days from our first qualifier and we're looking at Anthony Ralston starting it. Jullien has been out for months, we know Ajer wants away. That leaves us with the likes of Bitton and Welsh. Again, we've had months to sort that position out or at least put an extensive lists of targets together for it that Ange can give a yes or no to. But nah, * all to show for it.

It's a disgrace and a dereliction of duty. Yet again.

    1. You have no idea whether he is out of his depth with the Board or not. Pure speculation.

    2. Been sitting in on Board meetings and/or chatting to Board members where they've expressed their non-support for Ange have you? As for the ultimatum to leave, I can't believe you even wrote that.

Absolutely get that mate, 100% and it is a pattern but we’re transitioning in the boardroom, the managers office and on the pitch.

Honestly, getting it right to win the league and go straight into the CL is the most important thing for me just now. It’s bullshit that’s the way I feel but it is what it is.

I don’t disagree with you but we just don’t know what will happen in the rest of the window.

Mate, we've seen this film before and it's sequel.

Business and squad strengthening should be done well before champions league qualifiers.

I get the point, it takes time. But right now it would seem we're (again) heading into euro qualifiers with players who are positional fillers not starters and players who 'will do a job'. I * hate that term. Sums our approach up to euro qualifiers under lawwell though.

I find it thoroughly depressing. Honestly.
I'm drained. Emotionally and mentally. I want to see a positive road ahead, but I don't and its eating away inside at me.
The feeling of summer 2016 was the best I've felt about football since summer 2000 when Martin came in. I don't want to wait 16 years to feel that childish glee again. Life's too short.
Football to me is gospel. Supporting, following, playing, encouraging the kids to love it.

Ange is playing against a stacked deck. I'm desperate for him to succeed. As a betting man, I'd go all in against right now.

It’s happened so often that people now accept it as normality. If you take a step back and really think about the mentality shift it’s actually frightening.

    1. He’s clearly out of his depth, any manager would be. Do you never question why no decent manager would touch us? Ange clearly didn’t realise what he was walking into - and I don’t blame him.

    2. Chatting to board members? What pish is that? So by your reckoning as long as the board don’t explicitly verbally express their non-support for Ange then they’re supporting him? They’ve signed * all players and staff mate. That is a lack of support.

Yes he should give them an ultimatum. If they won’t properly bring in players and staff in a timely manner then he’s resigning. Or are you suggesting that regardless of the bullshit he is provided he just accept it and continue?

I don't see how transfers are going to help with the first fixture. A few weeks is hardly enough to get a player in including any COVID processes, getting to know the place, team mates and Ange's plan - let alone 10 days.

Importantly the pre-season games have shown where there is quality and the right attitude, and where there isn't. Ange wants the right players in, not just bodies. The club has made enough average signings over the years, some more rushed signings is just going backwards.
