Ralston? * knows but that’s out usual for guys like that. Be bonuses in it if he plays that figure will go up but that’ll be near his baseline.

    Time will tell I guess.

I hope to be proved wrong but I'm cynical that we'll see the root and branch reform that many are longing for.

I don't think he'll be quite as power-hungry as Lawwelll or get involved in signings above the managers head like Bayo and Shved but I don't think we'll see the club/PLC move in a totally different direction either.

McKay has just been planted in with the rest of the under-achievers on the board in the same way Ange has been planted in with the existing coaching staff. I think there will be resistance to change in some quarters, as it'll show up how poor a job they've been doing all along.

Liam Henderson was on about £5k a week for us before he left so I doubt it's as little as a £1k a week.

I don't think it matters how little Ralston may or may not be on, it's the principal of the thing, the laziness of not being arsed to go out and get new players in in that position, and because of that we have to keep a player regardless of how * he is, that's just mental.

Tell me about it. The point I was making though was that they should have gone along with Lennon therefore not even allowing Ange to make the decision which is evidently largely unpopular ... If it was ever his decision at all

I never said the Celtic gig doesn’t have pressure. Geez you lot are good at making * up.
What I said is don’t make accusations that Ange has never had a job with a tonne of pressure and scrutiny.
And no, Australia don’t play Fiji. Lol.
However we have played Holland, Chile, France, Denmark, Peru, Spain, Germany, Serbia….. to name a few. Oh we’ve even qualified for the round of 16, only to get robbed by Italy, cheating *, who went on to win it. Something Scotland hasn’t even managed to do. But we’re a footballing backwater remember.
Let’s not mention the pressure of having to win a home and away tie against Uruguay just to qualify. Do some research on that one. Don’t tell me he hasn’t had jobs with pressure.
I get how big your club is. I get there’s pressure and scrutiny. But stop with the dismissive condescending * that he’s never experienced anything like it.

I think it's worrying we are linked with all these players but can't get any over the line. Football is totally * if a club the size of Celtic can't attract international quality players anymore.

That was probably his very top line mate, youth players are very heavy with the bonuses.

Not saying Ange doesnt see anything in Kennedy or Strachan but people are getting confused over what Ange COULD get out of having them and what they MAY bring against what they actually did when they had a chance. They failed. When Lennon left Kennedy could not instill new ideas into the players, played the same way with the same players being played out of position to shoe horn favourites in. The players were still unmotivated, unsure of their roles when they did play. To come back to pre season training to find those 2 muppets still there coaching must leave the players frustrated and * off . To now hear they are being kept must cause some sort of dissent amongst the players. As soon as it goes wrong with Ange , Kennedy will take a step back and have nothing to do with it. If Kennedy was half as good as some people say he is, he would have walked and left his comfort zone and tried his hand elsewhere. Kennedy only wants one job and that is The Celtic Manager job, he will replace Ange regardless what happens. A few days ago a journalist came out with that Kennedy and Strachan had been forced on Ange, Club release a statement saying absolutely untrue then Ange tells the media they are staying and it's his choice, of course it is Ange. Kennedy is deffinatley Desmonds love child, he must have some hold on him. I said when Ange was appointed that them 2 would be his downfall and stand by it.

There will be resistence to change, 100%. We’ll see changes no doubt though but time will tell, 9 days is not long enough to judge at all though.

Are you hard of thinking? Please quote where I said that.

Ironic that on a post of accusing people of making up *, you've just made up fantasy arguments in your head to comment on.

I didn't say there's "no pressure" in managing Australia, I said it's nothing like the pressure of the Celtic job. Give it a wee while and I'm sure we'll hear that from Ange's mouth himself.

So you are saying that you do not care if Scotland do well or not and do not give a toss about the Celtic lads in the squad representing their country ? You are full of it. The reason I responded was that you stated that Ange basically did * all in Brazil with the national squad against Chile, the Netherlands, and Spain. Also coaching a squad of players that were not recognised names internationally, apart from Cahill. If you have the intelligence to watch those games you will see the three opposition teams were full of international stars. Ange took them head on with the lads he had at his disposal and made the opposition sweat blood. Watch the games. If you understand football, you will eat your words. The Dutch especially were gobsmacked and 15 minutes away from international embarassment.

There are a few on this forum that consistently make intelligent, considered posts. I wish I could say the same for some of the other moaning Nellies when they put their views in.

I think Ange is referring to the massive gaps in the backroom team. Jack Nayler just left for RB Leipzig and even before that we had a skeleton staff.

I don't think he meant coaching team.

I actually think Big Ange is breath of fresh air. The biggest problem Celtic and football have at the moment is that players wages are out of control and average players expect crazy wages.

A club trying to be run without massive debt is always going to struggle until something is done to combat the current state of finance in football. The greed is out of control with English football paying rotten players £60k a week how can we compete?

    Football is being destroyed.

When Celtic players go away on international duty to Scotland, Australia or wherever it may be my main concern is they don't get injured it really is quite common over here for people not to bother with the national team. Of course I wanted the to do well at the Euros but they didn't and I honestly couldn't care less. Putting in a good performance is immaterial if you don't take anything from the game and just to reference back to Scotland we are only to aware of the term 'Glorious failure'

Don’t think that’s been under the remit of a manager for a long time, outwith Rodgers getting Congerton in.

Make no mistake, some of these Asian countries would make mincemeat of some European and UK national sides. Try Japan, South Korea, Iran, Iraq, Syria,Egypt and Vietnam, See how far you get attempting to get a win.
