Aye I thought that initially, then his interview had me thinking maybe he wasn't a yes man..

He 100% is a yes man. The board are telling him exactly what's what and he's to go along with it..

 

We don't know who made the call and it is unfair to attack the new manager over this. Maybe Kennedy is good at taking orders from a competent manager and helping getting that across to team.

I don't but when you publicly state it's your decision then it's immaterial if things go wrong.

No coach worth their salt would accept coaches inherited from the most horrific capitulation in decades for a club.

After a promising start with what he was saying, the doubts are creeping back in again. New deals for Ralston & Griff, now Kennedy and Strachan kept on; not quite the revolution we were hoping for....

 

An assistant manager isn't really there to take orders. They're there to offer their own ideas or play devil's advocate when a manager is thinking of a radical tactic, like say....wanting to put 3 strikers on the bench and play with 0 upfront in a one-legged Champions League qualifier.

His 10-game stint at the end of the season showed the absence of his own ideas. No charisma, no ideas, no responsibility for collective failure

 

Really disappointed in this, was hoping Ange would bring in people who knows his methods and what he’s about, The board are hugely to blame for this they should have told Kennedy and Strachan to * off, Ange comes in oh you can decide on their futures and be a * and sack them great position to put the new guy in.

 

If he had any self respect then he would have voluntarily stood down but, like NL, he has decided to cling on and not give a * that he brings nothing to the table

Still think this is one of the reasons Howe didn't take the job as he has his own backroom team and also there wasn't a list of candidates wanting the job and no wonder and the club is a cluster * at the moment.

The board thought Howe was desperate for a job and would take it and both of them played a waiting game till Howe said no way will I will have a backroom team forced on to me.
What other clubs board would do that it's * mind boggling that Kennedy has been there through four managers .

* does he even do? I genuinely only ever see him handing out the bibs, laying out the cones and dishing out the balls in training, then retrieving them at the end of the session, if he's on about £100K a year to do that then I don't know what to say, could raffle that job to somebody.

He will never be forgiven for his role in blowing the 10 last season alongside Lennon & Gavin Strachan, even if he's in the dugout and we win the CL & Treble under Ange this season, he still won't be forgiven for the huge negative role he played in contributing to one of the darkest seasons in our history.
