Good move for all concerned. Don't think he would have cut it here in fairness.

But let's look at the striker front for a second.

    Klimala - gone
Griffiths - very likely to be gone
Edouard - very likely to be sold
Bayo - on his way out
    Ajeti - only one left

    Jesus wept.

Big problem with this as well, if we then have to go hunting for someone the other clubs will know our desperate state and will play hard(er) ball; I'm thinking hibs/Nisbet in particular here.

He’s going to join a club in Belgium, score 20+ goals and join a prem side for £20+ million isn’t he?

The fact Toulouse didn't want to pay 1.3m for him says it all. Bye.

I think it was more about his attitude than his ability as with a lot of the players we've picked up recently.

The fact he went to the Olympics when he thought he was staying with us but ditches his country when a move materialises says a lot about him.

He should have been here for preseason trying to show the new manager what he was all about instead he went to the Olympics.

That meant nothing to him too as the first chance of a move he let them down. I'm glad he's away just another self serving mercenary.

Just to play Devil’s advocate and give another take, he was probably told not to come back and to go to the olympics instead.

I know a lot of people think players can reject transfers or stay and fight for a place, but I think it’s a lot harder than you think.

We’ve probably told him, via his agent, to get to * as soon as possible.

    Good luck to him.

It's only right that Lawwell's signings leave when he does.

Jaysus, you don't want to depend on Ajeti to stay fit for 50 games a season either. We probably need to bring in 2 strikers to the squad. Surely, considering the situation with Griffiths and Eddy, with Klimala gone, you should hold onto Bayo in case Ajeti gets an injury this week. Like, we've got Mdjitlland next Wednesday...

That would be at odds with Ange giving all the players a fresh start etc.

    Its grim.

No mention of a new striker yet either other than Nisbet who I'd not rely on as a 2nd or 1st choice.

Realistically we need to bring on 3 forwards by the end of this window. That's on top of the 100 other players we need.

It wouldn’t be like us would it to not have a fit striker or first choice CB for important qualifiers. I think if Eddy goes we need at least 2 proper strikers and possibly someone who can play across the front just in case in addition.

It might be that one is a prospect signing as from the little I have seen of Afolabi and the fact he couldn’t land a regular starting spot for Dundee I don’t see him making it here.

It’s mad to think the size of squad turnover we have to undertake and we have done one deal so far coming in and only one or two going out this summer.

I wouldn't read too much into that to be honest.

Even if Bayo was here, he wouldn't be giving him any sort of time or attention to see if he suddenly blossoms into a quality player. He'll know Bayo isn't good enough.

We've also seen the board bring in players and sell them while we've been managerless, so it's fair to say Bayo being moved on is probably above Ange's head to an extent. I mean, I'm sure if Ange thought there was a player there he could've said he wanted him kept, but more likely they've spoke about Bayo and said they think they can move him on and Ange has OK'd it.

Bayo wouldn't be at the Olympics while we have a new manager out of disrespect to Celtic. We're the biggest club Bayo will ever play for and the biggest opportunity of his career. There's no way he's patching us because he doesn't rate us, especially when, as you say, he's left the Olympics at the drop of a hat.

We'll have told him to * off. Ange is smart enough to make a quick decision on Bayo.

I thought he was a player with potential. Seems to have done well at Toulouse. But why didn't they want to pay the 1.3m to make it permanent?

    Could be an attitude issue...

Either way I think we need to bring in a target man like Bayo. We scored 1 headed goal by a striker last season and it was the Thumb.

Didn’t have the cash their sporting director said because they didn’t get promoted

Looked like he had enough raw qualities that could have turned into a decent footballer but wasn't to be. If we can get our money back no harm done
