The honeymoon is officially over...which means he's seriously getting to work.

 

But that was 7 months ago surely thats enough time. It happens every year last year it was Christie up front before that it's Bitton at CB and O'Connell at CB as well the recruitment is shocking

I agree they do seem to do business very slowly. I think their over-cautious and penny pinching approach has cost us at times as well - McGinn for example.
At the moment though, as someone else said, if they go out and buy players quickly, unless they're Australian or from Asia, Ange is going to be accused of being a yes man and having players foisted on him.

Yeah you really can't win on here sometimes, if we don't have half a dozen players signed by the end of next week it's the same old * dragging our arses not getting business done, but if we had a stream of players in already you'd get another section going off their nut that there's no way Ange could have had input that fast, they must have been signings already lined up by the board proving that he's a yes man. There's always roasters going out of their way to spin things as nagatively as possible, like being permantently raging is their hobby, people that barely post when we're winning.

 

Ange stated previously he does not care about nationalities or the age of a player as long as the player is capable of playing the way he wants him to play. Surely he will be looking at an acknowledged and proven RB or two with international caps on their CV and an experienced track record. I can think of 4 right off the bat. Also Iran is a great source of very talented players with Quiroz being the national coach at present. You may remember he was on the coaching staff with Man Utd long term and was Iran manager in the World Cup. Ange has his contacts.

 

Aye its all those pesky fans fault that the club is currently a shitshow eh !! Maybe the fact this crap is still going on 9 months after it was obvious the club is in a * of a mess is something all of us should be worried about ?
Its just over a week until a vital match gets the season properly underway and still no urgency id say fans have every right to be mumping/worried dont you ?

 

I don't think he was saying Ange cares about "nationalities or age", he was saying that unless its an Asian/Australian league player then its a high possibility that its someone the club is pushing to sign rather than Ange, as Ange might not have been aware of the player.

Ange is coming into a right mess which we all know has been falling apart since Rodgers' last season where it was tonnes of loan players and guys who wanted away. I've said it already, I don't hold it against Ange for renewing Ralston or Griffiths. The guy has a Champo qualifier coming up next week and he's got a very thin squad.

I'm hopeful that Ange is working with Dom and the team to bring in who he wants

What does us having needed a right back for seven months have to do with Ange? Surely the fact that your bringing that up means you can see why he’s been put in the situation of triggering Ralston’s option?

And by all accounts the three players we’ve bid for, and one we’ve already signed, one was linked previously.

As I say my frustration is overall with how the club is run. I would genuinely rather play a youth player if needed than Ralston he is worse than a man down. As I said even before he was appointed officially he was always going to be a victim of circumstance so far the only criticism I could level directly at him would be the renewal of Griffiths and Ralston for me that's the wrong decision if it even was his decision to make but at the same time if it's not then it's not a good look either

People are expecting a lot if they thought this guy was gonna come in, immediately shake up the first team squad to be unrecognisable, demand the board get numerous signings through the door before pre-season and have us ready for Midtjylland single handedly.

The board and McKay are the ones who are failing to get these targets over the line, I'm sure Ange has said as much to them as he did to sky sports that we need bodies in and quickly.

He's not gonna upset the applecart in his first few weeks as far as the squad or board goes, that would be self destructive. He will know he needs to form good working relationships with key men in each department before he starts making wholesale changes.

Midtjylland will be too soon for us I feel, and that's at the boards door again, as they held out with Lennon for so * long, January was our opportunity to build for this season and get wheels in motion and they * it. Ange deserves no criticism for what he's done so far, as we all know he was walking into a total circus.
