said this prity much earlier, the stories folk are imagining atm is borderline jackanory, just wishing up situations based on their own paranoia. Either to many FM wannabes thinking real life plays like a simulation, where you come in and start fireing out bids for players like a gambling addict on a weekend trip to Vegas, or folk with no clue how football clubs work, the guy that comes in doesn’t have a magic wand, things take time he’s no even been in the door 4 weeks. You can expect miracles.

(I don’t have a clue about running of clubs, it’s just common sense)

I think he’s here as he’s an Aussie wanting to see the guy do well. Good to see his scope bringing in new fans.

I think the problem is the board have rode the fans rough for too long and fans have become exasperated by the incompetence and dismissive approach at how we are being run. It has been a debacle from the time the powers put up gates to keep fans off Celtic property. We are entitled to express disgust. I also don’t believe that Ange has any opposition within the support and everyone wants him to do very well as we all benefit. Up to now the support have been questioning why he hasn’t brought his own team in. Why the transfers of players in or out is going at a snails pace and that has been a worrying trend for the last 5/6 years. We backed Ronnie when he had manager Of the club dumped on his lap. Nothing has changed at Board level and that means they believe they are doing a great job and they have the owners backing. So people are gonna fret.

I've never understood the logic of the underprepared approach we have when it comes to the CL qualifiers, you look at the potential revenue that's up for grabs, why would you not want to invest in quality signings and give yourself the best possible chance of progression ?

Signs aren't that great mate. Definitely. But I'll give the board a little more time. I think McKay deserves that at least.

No doubt they made a * of the Howe saga. Let it go far too long and we are where we are. Think it's a bit of a precarious situation. If we go and sign all our players right now we'll have the folk saying their not Ange's players so he's a yes man. Wait to get Ange's targets and therefore put our chances of qualification in danger.

Genuine question here. Not just to yourself though, to everyone. Maybe a daft one, but if it came to it, wouldn't we all rather have patience, write of the champions league and get the correct signings in and focus on the league? Especially as that is guaranteed CL group stages

It is mystifying mate. We were being run on the promise of big names if we got CL qualification but, as you say, we done nothing to prepare ourselves and provide the materials needed to qualify in the first place.

We should be making signings in January with a view to the CL qualifiers. The signings - or lack of - in the winter window have been abysmal over the last number of years. We love a stupid short term loan in that window.

Another example of serious negligence from the board given how important the CL is to us.

The amount of delusion and split opinions in here is astounding.

No offence to anyone, but we laugh at the Huns the last 10 years or so for their blind faith and assumption that nothing is wrong, when the writing is always on the wall and staring them in the face.

Seems our own fans have this in abundance as well.

For years we have witnessed this club sell the fans short, go in to every campaign under prepared and never backing a manager.

Yet every year there is always a split in the fans, from those of us who are fed the * up with it and those who just blindly assume this year is different, even though every sign shows its going to be more of the same. They manage, somehow, to convince themselves that there is something here that is magically different.

Sorry to say, it's so far the same old *
The restructuring isn't happening, Dom has admitted this. He's politically left it open as something that may happen, one day, in the future, perhaps...
But really, the fact is, it is not happening.
The only thing that's changed is the manager.
    There is no new player.
    There is no new staff.
    There is no new structure.
    There is no new recruitment.
    There is no new anything.

Yet, blind faith seems to be what we continue to go on and use to fund this board, yet again.

Dom speaks a good game and I really do hope he is different to lawwell and does well, but right now, today, less than two weeks to a champions League game, we are the exact * same club that got spanked off Prague twice.

    Nothing has changed.

This is what makes things like the right back position absolutely baffling.
Sold two in January and loaned a third choice (this still baffles me) Everton player (our third choice was Ralston last season, now our first choice. Let that sink in).

To prepare for the champions League, surely that position out of all positions, was the most obvious one that needed sorted the soonest?
The clubs very very happy to sign its own players irrespective of what manager we do or do not have, in fact even without one completely, or what the manager even needs or wants, so why the * did we never have one lined up months ago?

Literally these idiots at this club have had since January to sort this, less than 2 weeks to an important competitive game and we have nothing.
    Nothing.

And this is common at Celtic, this is why so many of us are absolutely * off.
Not at Ange, not at all.
But at the club. The complete lack of foresight, planning, anything.

It's topped off with Ange not bringing his own staff in, not one.
This is not judging Ange, the assumption here is that he's not been allowed to bring his own in.

I was watching one of the celtic YouTube podcasts a month or so back and Jackie Mac was on it, someone who knows JK and he was asked if he felt it would be wise to keep him on as assistant were a new manager to come in.

He said no because he's already had that chance as first team manager, players calling him gaffer etc, probably has his own "favourites" etc and he gave a number of good reasons why he should be moved on and go and try his hand elsewhere.

I couldn't agree more. To me it makes zero sense to keep him here as assistant...he will without doubt be sitting there thinking well they clearly don't think I'm good enough etc. It's just toxic, IMO. E.g. there's Barkas and Ajeti who couldn't buy a minute 2nd half of the season under Kennedy and he's still sitting there coaching him...I dunno it just doesn't sit right with me.

As @James said earlier in this thread a rebuild isn't a rebuild when only one guy sitting on the bench wasn't there during the worst celtic season for decades ffs.

I want AP to put his stamp on the club immediately and prove he has the baws for it.

I honestly don't see anything to be optimistic about at the moment. Yet again we are going in to the qualifiers hugely under prepared, yet again we are dragging our heels in the transfer market, yet again the manager seems to be already frustrated with the lack of activity then on top of that he's had no say in his own backroom team and we've given out new deals to a terrible right back and a waster.

We were promised a restructure of 'the football department' what that has meant so far is basically a new manager (Which should have happened about a year ago) and a new CEO who has seemingly carried on where Lawwell left.

Another thing I never understood was if we were going to go in a different direction and really shake up how we were ran then why would the McKay need to shadow Lawwell for a month or however long it was if the plan was apparently to do things differently.

Because if we fail to get there we have wasted money of course! And that isn't good for Business!

Baffled why people seem to be blaming structural issues that have been needing fixed for years on Ange.

    Bizarre.
