Have we been linked with Starfelt and the Urgohide last year?

Urgohide is from a former staff member at Celtic, as was Shaw.

Starfelt I'm not sure on, but it certainly would fit the normal mold of a Celtic "scout" one.

I'd find it surprising if he was the first player Ange chased, not impossible, but unlikely surely.

It's that interview that is very telling though, he's admitted to the system being the exact same as it has been for years.

I’d be annoyed if he came in and ignored the scouting system to be honest, I don’t think we got the same thing out of that interview though.

I never read to much in to the interview to be honest. Just thought he was being low key and maybe * of at the Griff situation. I'll leave it to the Aussues who know him best to give their opinion on Amge and his interviews the now. But he can't be that annoyed, he's only just here and said himself he's gonna need time to assess. Hope the PL style is being done away with. We need to move on.

Agree, particularly in relation to the interview (that for me was typical Ange not being particularly interested in the questions being asked or the entire interview itself).

Hardly surprising considering the circumstances he came in. The Ralston and Griffiths contracts. Our transfer targets etc..

    Strap in..

If that's true then Dom McKay was bare-faced lying at the opening presser, the PLC has no appetite to change and the hordes of Aussies telling us he doesn't suffer fools gladly were wrong.

Really hope there's no truth in it. Keeping Kennedy and Strachan would be hoachin'

Why the * are we desperate to make things difficult for ourselves. Which cockend is making these decisions. Something rotten within that board room. Can't see Ange lasting long if thats our way ahead. The interference will only grow and irritate as time goes on.

How could Ange not renew Ralston's contract? You're just in the door, friendlies coming up, now you have a Champions League qualifier in just over a week. Do you let your only right back at the club just walk away and leave yourself with no right back?

Ange would look at Ralston on paper and say (1) He's an academy player (2) He's got 53 first team appearances under his belt for Celtic, Dundee Utd and Saints (3) Got his first game for Celtic in 2015, he'll do a job.

Imagine my surprise when it appears the top top world class coach who would walk away if he didn't get what he wanted is turning out to look like a potential cheap yes man

Or you could look at pretty much any games he's played and see his not good enough or you could consider we had Jonjoe Kenny who was absolute dug meat last season but still played every single game ahead of Ralston. Having a lack of numbers is no excuse to just maintain the dross we already have. Had we not renewed Ralston or Griffiths deals and not brought anyone in that reflects poorly on the board not the manager who in turn already seems frustrated by the lack of recruitment

That's not Anges fault. Blame the club for leaving him with only one right back a week before a champions league qualifier

How could you renew the contract of a guy who was 3rd choice and still couldn't get a look in after we sold the 2 guys in front of him mid-season?

A lack of options shouldn't have necessitated signing Ralston who we know isn't up to the task, it should have expedited our moves in the transfer market.
