At what?? The questions or lack of signings???

 

The board will shaft him 100%. We will get the usual we tried but the current market etc, its pure * greed from them.

 

Judging by what we've heard from Ange, I doubt he is a yes man or one who would hide behind not getting transfers. I think he'll say something publicly about it.

It's just a gut feeling but time will tell.

 

Think it is blatantly obvious that Ange is not having much of a say in transfers at all.

As much/little as Lennon got and about the same as what Rodgers got after his first season - he is getting handed a transfer target and asked if he wants the signing - when you're looking at desperately needing a rebuild and not being allowed to hunt your own players, most managers will just say yes for the sake of just getting someone in the door due to the size of this rebuild.
This is not Ange fault.

But the fact we have been screaming out for a director of football and some actual direction for the football team, it will be no surprise if Ange is left disappointed, frustrated and * off come September 1st.
How we have not appointed either a DoF or a replacement for Hammond yet is * criminal.

I don't care for chat of taking our time to suss out what we need for a restructure, recruitment is a fundamental component, that NEEDS to be in place.

We can not be leaving this * up to a makeshift team in the background that failed for the last 3-5 years.

 

Lack of signings, or the lack of haste. Just the impression I got mate. Maybe he's just that kinda personality in front of the msm

 

There's a bit in the Age of Ange doc from like 2013 where he's literally sat at a computer looking at his own compiled database of players, whilst he's talking about players he's extensively scouted and then going on to discuss doing a personal trip to England to have a look at a player who he thinks might do well getting his first call up to the Aussie Squad (massimo luongo).

But aye, I'm sure Ange hasn't a * clue about what footballers exist in the western world and is totally dependant on what our scouts have to feed him

 

The whole club is working hard and I’m hoping over the next week or so we have some announcements - seems hopeful it’s needed

 

But.. but… he’s been in Japan how could he possibly know about players outside of Japan from that

 

Surely he can see that Ralston should be nowhere near the first team, Barkas is still pish, Taylor is woeful and Griffiths should be shown the door. Hopefully some new good quality signings to come in or we are going to really struggle

I think he's assessed a few folk and made his mind up about them. He would have every right to be * at the Griff situation. Maybe that's why he's raging.

 

It sounded a lot like Brendan Rodgers when he began to take the hump with what was happening when he was trying to make some signings to take us to the next level

 

That interview is insane. No control over who is being sold, not personally talking to anyone coming in, and time will tell whether the squad will look the way he wants it. He's been hired to turn up and give a pep talk once a week basically. Is anyone surprised though?

 

It could be you guys are reading too much into it but thats Ange to a tea with MSM. He gives as good as he gets.

 

I didn't read it that way at all - in terms of players leaving, I think he was referring to the fact that, if a player doesn't want to be here (Ajer, Edouard, Christie) - that's out of his control.

He was asked if he was speaking to the Swedish guy - I think his answer that he wasn't speaking to anyone was fine. I don't expect him to name players or confirm who we are or are not interested in.

He said that the club were working hard at bringing players in - I am assuming that they are players that he has approved and/or recommended.

I may be wrong and, if so, we'll find out soon enough.

 

He has been around the block in those 25 years even if it's not in Europe. Think he is playing the MSM. Understand the distrust of the board but we should calm down i think.
