Actually I think this happened to a Cliftonville player recently. Filmed himself having * with a girl who was 16 and sent the video to his mates, was prosecuted for it.

It wasn't illegal that he had * with her, despite her being 16, but it was illegal to have/share sexual images/videos of her.

I'd say Griffiths is finished. Cliftonville sacked Jay Donnelly.

Not the point I was making, never said they were fake or not but looked suspect as phone screenshots should be smoother. It could have been resaved though to reduce quality.

At the moment these are allegations and if proven true then not only should be be chucked but i would expect to see criminal penalties against him. However if you ever watched that to catch a predator show if he never asked her age and she clearly stated her age he can probably avoid that with plausible deniability, regardless of criminal side he should be punted out the door.

I really feel for his family and kids, this guy behaves like a scumbag with no regard to how it affects his family.

Whilst I agree with the sentiment that his time is up, I find myself a little confused at some of the language being tossed around in here today.

I've seen the word "nonce" thrown around on a few occasions, as well as allusions to him deliberately soliciting an underage girl...

Whilst he is bang out of order and has behaved in a less than acceptable fashion, people should probably take a breath before they type.

There's already been other fake "approaches" to underage girls, fabricated and circulated already.

Leigh Griffiths has just, at last, ruined his own career.
I don't think we need to ruin his life over this.

Not at least until all the facts have been established.

I completely understand the frustration of alot if Celtic fans, perhaps being a bit too overzealous with the "I told you so" disposition, but let's not get carried away, especially given the fact that he has a wife and kids who are having to deal with this type of circus.

Extension was fine. That was anges decision. He never knew him, took everyone at face value. Absolutely nothing wrong with that and what I'd expect from a new manager. Dont accept old opinions on people and form your own. I'm sure his opinion has now been formed clearly and he will be for the off.
