    A lot of you guys may not like this, but i feel we should stop all marches in Scotland. Orange or republican, i dont like any of them, they are sinister and provocative, what does everyone think?

    i agree in that i dont have any intrest in them. but if you take away peoples right to express there opinions and beliefs then your only looking for more trouble.

    the worst bit about them is the folk that they attract drinking at the sides and that they're very insular. watched a documentary on youtube called "football, faith and flutes" a couple of weeks ago, very interesting and quite scary how people think. it covers both sides of the divide, will try and post a link later (in my work so can't access youtube just now)

    They will never get banned imo but i do think the orange walks should be minimum, They get to march more often than republicans.

    Orange walks seem to be an excuse for excessive drinking & public drinking I have attended a hunger strike march an can honestly say that there wasnt a lot of people walking around with a buckfast bottle etc like there would be at an orange walk.

    if marches were stopped ,it would be another victory for the political correct council,
    i would suggest why dont the march round a park somewhere away from the streets where people live as they walk past my window everytime and i hate it,but if they stayed in the park ,i wouldent give a * what they do,

    policeing would be reduced ,urinatng in the street would stop ,drinking would be contained, litter could be binned,

    everyones a winner,,,if T IN THE PARK CAN DO IT why cant the orange order

    If a march is an annual thing i don't see why there has to be more than one in an area a year. People should always be allowed to march and express their opinions but there is so much antisocial behaviour surrounding them, not to mention stirring up sectarian hatred that they should be cut back.

    Only march i ever went on was the make poverty history march in Edinburgh, it was great.

    would tend to agree that a large proportion of people involved, on both sides, see it as a great opportunity to wind up the other side. the executive are supposedly looking at ways to cut down on sectarianism, these marches are surely doing more to keep divisions intact than football?

    BAN THEM.

    The Orange march is basically a "celebration" of the death of Catholics.

    The WW1 & WW2 vets have the right idea about marches - to rememebr the dead, not celebrate killings.

    * wanks.

    Let them march in a distant field somewhere whether its Orange or Republican.

    We should all be marching in the streets in defiance at the rising cost of living not marching for something that happened donks ago...

    afraid you cant ban it if its legal and applied for but yeah I think most marching is for sad * with insecure identities who have to force their crap on everyone else. Said it before its like the wee pikeys who blast their awful 'doof, doof , doof' dance music in their pimped up ride and insist on sharing it with humans.
