    Big Risk. Yes.

He was horrendous last season, but I’m willing to forgive and forget. The guy went from being Greece no.1 and AEK no.1 to a babbling mess last season - there has to be a reason for that other than him being a * goalie (which he is not).

A rambling manager having digs at him in the media,

    constantly dropped,

Isolated in a hotel in the middle of a pandemic

Horrendous defence in front of him,

    New scenery,

    New squad,

    Pressure etc etc.

He takes his share of the blame, but onwards and upwards. Can’t NOT help our Greek goalie having a Greek manager in place…

Have to remember what he had in front of him last year, a back four including Taylor/Laxalt, Duffy ,Welsh and Kenny. I think even Forster would struggle with that.

There's definitely a quality keeper there, first choice for Greece, hefty fee and was very well rated by AEK fans, We 100% need a keeper to properly challenge him, but I think Barkas still has a chance here.

Of course he takes a huge share of his own personal blame, but you dont just go from being a right good goalie to a dumplin in one season.

Aye he must have something about him but I woudknt be sure on relying on him as our number 1..

I'd feel more confident if he was kept on but we had a adequate keeper in. If Barkas showed enough to dislodge him then I'd have no arguments..

The problem outwith his lack of confidence and settling etc was that he had a horrible knack of making his self smaller when he should've been spending his self for shots. By all account's he doesn't actually like/want to be a keeper either..

I hope Ange can get a tune out of him. Did notice in training he was giving him a gee up..

I know it's stating the obvious but if we're gonna win the League we need quality in the door.

By the sounds of it Ange is on the look out for another keeper, I'd say Barkas will be given pre-season to prove his worth.. keeper although very important maybe easiest to integrate into a squad

Thats not what I'm saying though, i acknowledged the defence was pish but he wasn't even doing basics right. He barely made a noticeable save.

Thats not the defences issue...once its past them its upto him a lot of the time. A good goalie will drag even the most average of defenders out the muck a few times. He doesn't fill me with that confidence.

Hickey, Vuskovic, Mooy and Osaze would be an excellent start to the window imo.

If we are further down the line with Hickey, can’t see us making any move for Paal. We aren’t buying 2 left backs this window when we will struggle to move on Taylor. He can play in some cup games and agaisnt lower Prem reams to give Hickey a rest. If we are paying £3.5m on Hickey, he’s first choice. As is Vuskovic. All positive moves either way

I've a feeling if Ange is going to play with the intensity we are being led to believe we will need two players for every position.. none of this back up maybe.. if you're in the squad you should be good enough to step in at any level..

Taylor doesn't fit this for me..

I don’t think he is either but I also can’t see us, with the huge rebuild we have, getting rid of players who can probably do a job and cover when needed. That’s why Griffiths was kept and that’s probably why Ralston was kept. We will buy a main left back and a main right back and Ralston and Taylor will deputise when needed.

Osaze is our backup RB, think Ralston was only kept on so we can get a fee.

I thought Osaze was a CB. Either way, we aren’t getting a fee for Ralston. No chance

Think we all had a bit of a buzz last week with the clips of Ange’s training sessions, the young lad from SW coming in and the rumour mill going into over drive.

But in reality we haven’t scratched the surface and we are another week closer to the CL qualifier.

Today we arrived in Wales for the pre-season camp and we really should have had a few signings in for this.

Underwhelming if I am being honest.
