    Actually turned round on this and want it to happen.

    Thought he was a decent prospect at Hearts and he's surely improved a decent amount over there.

    My only issue if if we sign him, I hope we sign an experienced LB to help him, taylor isn't good enough.

    Hickey is a better player than Taylor already and has a much higher ceiling. That much was obvious before he got his move to the Serie A..

    Considering the few quid we got from the hearts to Bologna transfer we are talking just over 3 mill. The time in seria a will stand to him.

    Liked the look of him at Hearts, was injured and soldiered on one game against us, and gave his all, reminded me of when Tierney just broke through, lots of potential., dunno how it has panned out for him since leaving Hearts tho?

    I remember since I was a kid every single manager said our left back is never hitting a pen :56:

    Ma wee boy is a lefty and plays left back and I’ve said you can practice all you want you are no hitting a penalty son :56:

    Dont know how i feel about this one , all i remember him really doing in the games against us was stretching his calfs quite a lot as if there could possibly be issues there. Would like him to bulk up quite a bit if he did sign as i think hesquite slight in frame . Tierney did it and was a totally different player

    But is a left back.

    This makes sense IMO and he's still only 19. His hair has improved drastically over in Italy as well which can only be a good thing.

    CELTIC are closing in on a deal for Aaron Hickey — with Dutch defender Kenneth Paal also linked with a move to Parkhead.

    SunSport understands Celts have made a £3.5million bid for Bologna star Hickey.


    Talks with the former Celtic youth player could open this week as Ange Postecoglou continues to overhaul his squad.

    Defender Osaze Urhoghide joined on Friday after moving to Parkhead from Sheffield Wednesday.


    Now Postecoglou has stepped up his interest in former Hearts left-back Hickey with an official approach to the Italian club.

    Celtic attempted to sign Hickey last summer, but he agreed a switch to Serie A instead.

    Despite a decent campaign, Bologna have been linked with a summer swoop for Aleksandar Kolarov amid reports they could cash in on either Hickey or Mitchell Dijks.



    Asked about the speculation recently, Hickey said: “I’m fully aware that there has been interest.

    “I can see it all — but I have just got to keep my head down and keep my focus on Bologna.”


    Celtic chiefs expect to strike a deal with the Italian club in the coming days and are confident of agreeing personal terms with the 19-year-old.
