He was too passive, too often for me, particularly under the circumstances we found ourselves in.

Get him out. Looks like the go compare guy minus the moustache. I will not tolerate slightly overweight Celtic managers

Doesn't matter if he's only shouting "shoot" or "pass" or "well done" or whatever. It's that he's there shouting encouragment. A large percentage of your modern day footballers need that constant reassurance and reminder of how good they are. I think Ange will be the guy who keeps them grounded into the bargain and lets them know when they're being rank rotten.

He's definitely the kind of manager that will cuddle some players and whack others because he knows thats how he will get the best out of each individual.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t give a * what weight another person is. Just highlighting the fact that Lennon got a lot of unnecessary * last season, on top of the valid criticism.

That's because Big Ange is "Tony Soprano fat".
    Weighted with purpose and authority.

Whereas Lennon is "Samwise Gamgee fat".
Weighted with pints and late night donor kebabs.

That being said, I think it would be good for Ange to pay attention to his weight. Trust me, I'm in no way body shaming, but this is a high pressure job and it carries with it certain health risks.

On a side note, I simply cannot under the fact that Ange is a double for Fred Flintstone...

I agree. I really admire the guy but I have been concerned in the past about how heavy he can get at times. He has to look after his health for his own sake, and for his wife and young kids. He doesn't look as if he gets much regular sleep. He must put in a lot of man hours each day at work. The man is obsessed with football and has a real sense of responsibilty to get the job done right.

On an another note. A lot have contributed their thoughts regarding players being a good fit for Celtic for this coming season and the positions that need to be filled pronto to give some strength to the team, especially in defense. Also what potential in-bound transfers are in the pipeline moving forward. I know that perhaps I should not do it in this forum, and apologies to Craig, and to Jacob who read it in the Transfers section, but I will only do it once here. Ange please note.

I want you all to go to Youtube and watch Mady Camara in action. There are a number of clips. He is 24 yrs old, 1.82 tall. central defensive midfielder who can also surge forward. He is strong, scores goals, very mobile, a good tackler, shoots from distance. Has a knack of scoring goals in big games at crucial stages of the match. He has played 17 times for the Guinea national team at senior level. Played for Ajaccio in France, and in 2018 signed a five year contract with Olympiakos Pireaus FC . Is a regular player in the team. When you see the clips you will understand why. He reminds me of a very mobile Patrick Viera type player. I get excited just watching him play. What a catch he would be !

Ange seems like a fella who will be direct and transparent, not talk any nonsense and take ownership of any shortfalls.

My biggest gripe (there were many) with Neil Lennon was his lack of ability to accept ownership when things didn't go our way. And I'm going back to his first tenure as well, not just last season. The guy never ever accepted a * fraction of blame. It was always someone else's fault.

In our jobs and careers as non footballing professionals, part of being a manager and getting paid the big bucks is the responsibility that comes with it. Accepting and dealing with problems and difficulties and putting your hands up and taking things on the chin.

Lennon didn't do that once in all the * years he was here.

Anyway, a refreshing change with a much more articulate manager. Onwards and upwards.

Scottish fat and Ulster fat are one in the same mate, such is the intertwined nature of the two regions’ histories.
