Unless our revenue has vastly increased, it is a considerable sum.

The point is, there’s better options for the same amount out there. There’s examples of it all the time.

Even when you think Rashica went for 9m, you’d be far better off pushing the boat out for someone like that, rather than 4m on Nisbet.

You're right it doesn't for a striker. But no point in buying someone for £4m is no better than Griff or Ajeti. That £4m could buy a decent centre back or full back.

Think that’s just flat out wrong in the context of two strikers. His link up play and movement with a striker partner is absolutely excellent. Upfront himself is when it’s a struggle.

Wonder how much Sam Lammers would cost, TransferMarkt has him at £5.4m

Unless I'm very much mistaken, it's more than the entire prize pot for winning the league. That's how poorly we're supported financially in Scotland. In a good CL year we only make about £20m profit I think, and last year was far from that - performance and covid wise

Jonas Svensson? Wouldn’t be a bad signing if true.

I was just thinking watching the Euro’s Silvan Widmer would be a good signing for RB, going into the last year of his Basel deal and had good experience.

    Aye that's the one..

Out of contract and only 28. Don't know a lot about him but supposedly played hundreds of game's in the Eredivisie..

We were linked with Widmer a couple of year ago I'm sure..

Celtic linked with Norwegian right back

Former AZ and Rosenborg right back Jonas Svensson could be the man to solve Celtic's right back problems following his release from the Dutch club. Social Media reports suggest that Svensson could be on the move to Parkhead with the 28-year-old free agent looking a very attractive proposition for the club.

Svensson has vast amounts of experience playing in the Tippeligaen and Eredevise, as well as , a host of European appearances. He also has 23 caps for the Norwegian national side. If he completes the move to Parkhead he would be the sixth Norwegian to sign for the club.

Don't know much about him but I'd take him on the fact he's not Ralston

It's a signing that would make sense on paper and for free..

Could then get a younger like Frimpong-type also..

Wouldn’t Urhoghide be seen as the Frimpong type?

Is he no a centre half primarily that can fill in across the whole backline?

I think from the few videos I've seen on him he's much more suited at RB. At Sheffield Wednesday he played as a RCB in a back 3.

Could definitely see him fill in at CB if we're short tho

Seen people say he was a full back who was moved into the centre.

With how good he looks on the ball I think he’ll start out as a RB with us anyway.

AZ signed a Japanese right back Sugawara, who got a shot in the team when Svensson got injured around Christmas.

I think since Svensson has recovered he seemed to get his place back though. Not sure if it was Svensson who ran his contract down rather than AZ releasing him was in the recent Norway squad too.

Widmer was actually at CP with his agent to watch one of our CL qualifiers a couple of seasons ago.

Must have been another deal that Pistol Pete * up.
