This is good news...he’s a good striker who is a proven goalscorer.

We would not have another one of those once Edouard leaves.

Hopefully this works out and personally I think it will.

I can see/understand folk being unhappy about it but I don't get some people saying the Club should have said no. If Ange wants him here then its his choice and the Club need to back him. One of the big criticisms I heard previously was, seemingly, the board/club interfered in football matters more than they should have... yet it seems that's exactly what some folk want them to be doing after all :39:

You maybe turn up for the sessions being put on at Lennoxtown over lockdown. With you know, your fellow team mates. Brown, McGregor, Taylor etc

You maybe don’t go MIA and get pictured hanging about with * bams or in a kebab shop in Castlemilk.

You’re right, there was more to it than fitness. Attitude for one

Does anyone know his goals/assists to minutes stats for the past few seasons?

He's averaging about 10 goals a season for the last 4 years

Jullien is probably more clinical infront of goal..

Was said a while back in the thread his goals to minutes this season was slightly better than Eddy's, according to transfermarkt, not sure how accurate that is though.

Genuinely what could he say that would make it make anymore sense ?

The only reason he has been given a deal is because we are struggling to field a starting XI currently but he wont come out and say that it will be generic * about how he has been working hard and applying himself

Necessary business, not much more can be said until we say what shape he can get into.

A fit Griff is still an asset, don’t care what anyone says.

Aye a fit Griffiths would of been a fine thing last year in probably our most important season in years but he didn't bother his lazy hole

Getting thrown on for 5mins because we have * another game and need a goal or 2 makes it kind of hard to contribute over a season.

Wasn’t fussed either way but now hope he can turn it around and has learnt his lesson from what happened during the first lockdown.

By the same token though there is a reason he's not starting

Why does an unfit Ajeti not get as much grief? He can't even finish.

Maybe because Ajeti has only been here one season under a duff manager. As opposed to this * who has let the club down for about 5 years. That much should be blatantly obvious.

My question to some people would be, why the * do they refuse to criticise Griffiths or accept the fact that he is to blame for his situation?

He seems to be the golden child to some fannies despite having done * all for years. It’s beyond weird.

As I’ve said before, it’s the same people who are quick to slate Edouard despite him being our top scorer the last couple of years and contributing far more than this waster.

I wasn’t meaning just goals. Gives them something to think about, linking up play etc.

I don’t agree with the extension but i dont think we have many options at the moment.

His link up play has never been good. Improved a touch under Rodgers but it’s back to being fairly non-existent.

The idea of Leigh Griffiths is more threatening than the reality.

He wasn’t the only one, the main culprit being the manager.
