Think it’s obvious he just forgot to wash his Celtic yesterday.

 

With the chances Scotland created in the euros, how they could have done with a sharp/fit Griffiths up front. He might come back to haunt us but he has let himself ,his club and country down. If it’s problems in his personal life, just step away from the game, sort yourself out but please stop pulling a wage if you can’t be arsed.

 

He really didn't deserve another chance with, regardless of how good he is in top form, we don't see it often enough because of his constant fitness issues and poor attitude.

Best for all parties if he has to earn himself a contract elsewhere and we free up some wages for a fresh face up front.

 

End of the day, if big Ange decides he's out, he's out. Same goes for every other player and member of staff.

That aside, if he's gone I hope he sorts his * out. Aw the best wee man.

 

I reckon Ange might have a word with Rodgers about Griff to ask what he was like during his time here

 

I wonder if there's any truth since pre season training has started he hasn't used the Celtic gym once and if that's true he will be shown the door .

Wonder what the story is there, has Ange made that decision so quickly? Or has Griff decided it was over now?

I will say it again,letting someone go who can score for fun with the size of rebuild we have is * stupid,right up there with losing our two best keepers and then blowing over 4 million on some keeper who cant make saves.

 

Get your point mate but you basing that on Griffith's at his best. He hasn't been that in a while.

I also agree if we could get him back to his best he would save us millions and provide much needed fire power.

From what we seen though Ange went in with an open mind and has said players that want to play for Celtic and play his way will get a chance. A few days later Griffiths does this. Suggests talks didn't go well, talks Griffith's might not be committed to getting back to his best.

Griffith's can only have a future with us if he is committed to getting back to his very best imo.

 

I wonder if he would tie a Dons or Hibees scarf around one of our goalposts

 

Gutted if it’s true, loved the guy and felt he was very misunderstood.

Saying that if it’s time to go it’s time to go, he has plenty to offer other clubs if he can get over his issues. He didn’t cover himself in glory with some things which naturally would and did upset a large percentage of the fans understandable so.

I fought in Leigh’s corner many a time, but maybe for the best for all parties involved. Best of luck to him.

What could've went wrong between ange's first chat with him and now?
Either way I trust ange's decision and i wish leigh all the best for the future even though he's clearly feeling bitter about it right now by unfollowing the club etc.
Possibly trying to free up wages for another player?

 

With Eddie going to the Olympics that leaves Ajeti and bayo if he's coming back for the qualifiers and we need to get moving with players coming in with 20 days to go .

 

Feel sorry for him, I know how hard and self destructive poor mental health can be but from a Celtic point of view I think it was time. Should have been a club legend

 

Might come back to haunt us if he joins another club and actually gets his * together though

 

Probably money as I'd assume the option for another year would involve some level of negotiation. Given what happened last year Celtic would likely want to decrease what he was payed this year.

Given how threadbare our squad is and that Griff is unlikely to get better money elsewhere I think it is still possible a deal might get done over the next few days.

If not, good luck to him.
