So you don’t think O’Neill used his wife’s illness as an “excuse” to leave? Certainly was his stated reason, but I don’t for one second believe it was his SOLE reason…

It’s already well known that his relationship with the board was dwindling.

He did say he was leaving to take time put of fitba to care for his wife, fair doos. Said (if I recall correctly) was taking 14months out of the game, then ended up in another job in less than that.

Now, not that I am aiming anything at him, if that was his position then so be it.

 

We all know his wife had cancer no ones debating that I personally don’t believe it’s why he left though

Guy took a year out taking care of his wife that had cancer.

He didn’t need an ‘excuse’ to leave he could have left regardless.

Weasels trying to think he used his Mrs as an ‘excuse’ are just that - * weasels. That line of thinking can go get *. MON is nowhere near that much of a cowardly rat that * are trying to make out when they insuinate that.

 

A weasel for thinking that him leaving wasn’t SOLELY for the specific reason he stated?

His wife having a serious illness WAS his excuse, my point being, I don’t believe it was the only reason for him wanting to leave, but clearly the tipping point, if you want to call it that.

Ok he took the Villa job a bit quicker than he originally said he was out but thing's/circumstances change..

Funny enough also confirms pretty much what Lenny was talking about when saying the fans have changed. Trying to use his wifes cancer against MON is just rat like behaviour.
