No need for that type of insult but him & Lennon need to take a good look at themselves. The way both are coming out & slagging off the fans is disgraceful.

 

You need to look at the SFA and the SPFL a little closer than to foot the blame at Celtics door here. As they’re the ones destroying our academy. Not only did they cancel the reserve league, the cancelled the youth league too. Why would youngsters want to stay when there is no competitive football on offer? Bounce games here and there don’t cut the mustard, you need regular games pushing to win things. That pressure and competition forge youth into a winning way of thinking.

Due to this many of Scotland’s youth players (not just from Celtic) have been picked up by other clubs. Pointing the blame at Celtic is a million miles off the mark, it’s the two football authorities that are ruining our game that are to answer. Their lack of leadership, lack of funding and lack of planning have caused clubs to lose their top prospects for peanuts to big clubs.

It’s taken 4 years and another football body to sort this shambles out by the lowland league allowing our colts team to play there next season. The SFA and SPFL should be ashamed it’s a national scandal.

 

Same guy that used his wife as an excuse for leaving and in a job a year later would have been better just saying the real reason he wanted a new challenge

During his first press conference since touching down in Glasgow this week, Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou stressed that it's his job is to provide a football club fans can be proud of.

“The supporters are passionate and that’s what you look for,” said the manager. “Anyone who knows me and my history will know I don’t take well to finishing second either. I’m driven to be successful.

“I understand there’s an immediacy about that, that’s the world we live in, but I’ve managed to navigate a career of building football teams, of matching goals of playing a certain way with success at the same time – that’s my goal here.

“I’m hoping that the supporters and everyone involved with the club will see from the first day that the football we play will excite them. As we look ahead, I’m well aware of what the expectations are in terms of success, but that’s why I’m here.”


The manager added: “I gather that there was a little bit of a mixed response when I was announced at the Celtic manager, but what I do know is 100 per cent of Celtic supporters will want me to be successful. Nothing is more important at this football club. If I’m successful then this football club is successful.

“I just can’t wait to see the fans back in here at Celtic Park. My role is to provide a football club that they’re going to proud of, a team that they’re going to look forward to watching every week, and a team that everyone is talking about.

“If I can achieve those things, success follows that, and I’ve honoured the role. So far, everyone has been super supportive and I can’t wait to experience that first hand.”
