Reports in France claim “several” Ligue 1 clubs are showing a late interest in Celtic midfielder Oliver Ntcham.

AEK Athens are confident they will land the midfielder for nothing when the transfer window opens on July 1, with the Hoops cut a deal with the Frenchman to allow a swift exit.

The 25-year-old’s form dipped last season and he struggled during a loan spell at Marseille in the second half of the campaign.

Despite Greece looking like the likely destination, MaxiFoot claim that a number of top flight clubs in France are hoping to tempt the Celtic misfit with a return to his homeland.

Dont really care, we turned down 14M a few years back, so holding out for a fee seems pointless now, when getting him out the door is more important, would be sick if he decides to stay and run down his contract, which wouldn't surprise me, given his stinking attitude.

 

I don't think if we hold out for a fee, he won't leave.

If we were offered £14m in the last, it suggests we really should be getting something for his services, no matter what we think of him.

We need every penny we can get for the rebuild. Someone will be willing to pay for Ntcham.

 

I think leaving Celtic for any Greek club (I “support” Panathinaikos) is a step backwards. The Greek league is one of the most corrupt leagues that has little prospects for the future. AEK have almost finished their stadium which is interesting.

But In my humble opinion, it’s definitely a backwards step going from Celtic to Greece. If he was jumping from any other club in Scotland (with the exception of the zombies), it would be a step up to AEK in terms of your career, but certainly not from Celtic.

If you thought what Murray and the Zombies did in terms of spending money they didn’t have winning leagues through it was bad, you should read about the Olympiacos owner Marinakis, guy is an absolute crook. He’s been acquitted of several counts of match fixing etc but one suspects he has a few people from the justice department on his payroll too…

Totally agree. I never believed he was off for free stuff. We should be easily able to get some kind of fee for him.

I'd rather just get the * out the door rather than worry about a fee. The guy is pure poison.

 

According to the other unmentionable site he's been liking posts on the Celtic IG about Big Ange.. maybe the Boss has had a word in his ear.. clearly downed tools for Lennon so maybe a new manager might get him going..

Personally I think hes a fantastic player when he's on it but rather get cash and re invest.. too inconsistent

 

While I agree he needs punted, there is no reason why we shouldn't be able to get 1m for him. It's 1m in our coffers at the end of the day and the * owes us that at least.
