Albian Ajeti

There’s definitely a place for him if he’s fully fit. Not judging him in that horrendous team. Look how much Eddy regressed in it.

 

More than willing to let the man try to find some form. Poor attitude last season along with a lot of others, but there were so many mitigating circumstances. There's talent there, let's hope he can show it this time.

 

He puts chances away in the box. If he gets fit as * he will be a big player this season.

 

Agree with this, he showed early on in the season that he can score goals. People writing him off just now is premature, I expect him to be our top scorer next season, providing he steps up a level in fitness, which I think he will.

 

Didn't play enough end of the season to have much confidence in him. Not writing him off but he's feeling a fair bit off a £5 million pound signing at the minute.

 

Player of the year this season, 30 goals.

He was great vs Lille away despite looking to have the physique of a darts player.

I think he comes across as quite an arrogant guy, and might not get himself up for the wee games in the league. I’m not sure I have faith in him to be a key part of this rebuild based on what we have seen so far. If he stays and shows hes up for it, all the better.

 

Tbf, imagine comin in and being met with the kinda set up we had last year! Not every player is a model pro. Imo Lennon encouraged the kind of “who gives a *” attitude and, to me, Ajeti seems like someone who needs to be kept on a tight leash. Arguably, similar to griff. He certainly showed in his first few games he has the ability. And you could also argue the management had no idea how to accommodate this ability.
The coaching and management was so bad last year I feel most folk should have a clean slate.
Look at Forrest under Rodgers. Totally different player. Good managers can do that to players. Just hope Ange can do the same.
But I do agree, he has to want it and show more.

He'll get his chance to impress and he really needs to take it. Showed signs of promise for us last season and can clearly finish, but overall he had a disappointing season. If he doesn't do well this season, most fans will want him moved on, myself included.

 

Ajeti much like all new signings and players last year were victims of poor leadership mainly from the Manager and coaching staff.

Not even going into training, the tactics and football on show were appalling. Every fan knows that wasn’t Celtics style nor ‘the Celtic way’. When you look back at the games there was no quality, no penetration.

Coming into the club Ajeti was probably thinking he would come and get chance after chance, where in reality we didn’t create near enough quality for any of our forwards. I hope and think Ange will change that and we will see more of the price we paid for him.

 

Even months after joining Ajeti would get subbed on with 20 minutes left and look knackered after 10 minutes. Lennon talked a lot of * last year but one thing I do believe was him repeatedly saying Ajeti was miles off it fitness wise.

 

I think Ajeti was one of the players who covid genuinely did affect, much like Barkas (given though both players’ performances on the park were inexcusable).

Think of being a new player moving to Scotland in the middle of a pandemic - go to training and then back to your hotel to sit yourself in isolation for months - must have been * *, and probably what Lennon was on about wanting to build a social room at Lennoxtown for, so guys like these can hang around a bit longer before going back to “isolation”.

Good to know that Ange is giving clean slates to players, 100% up to them to show last season was a complete blip.

Thats why I didn’t elaborate on training, Griff has an issue with fitness, Ajeti was the same, as did at least 2-3 others if not more. There is a reoccurring theme about last season, I would just wish more fans would see the short comings of our ex manager, he allowed the rot to set in due to his low standards.

 

Im alright with him getting another shot under a manager with an actual system.

Eddy's replacement, Ajeti and Griffiths is strong enough for what'll likely be one striking role. Get Bayo to *.

 

Had a license to not get fit under dumb * old regime.
Different with this new guy so we will see a different player.
Him and the Griff up top firing on all cylinders hopefully.
