Go to a doctor the next time there’s something wrong with you and just sit in the chair and say not one word. It’s the doctor’s job to know what’s wrong with you right?

No worries. I'm getting more worked up about than I should do. Must still be stinging over the failures of the management and coaching staff over the last year or so.

Sorry for calling you a roaster.

By that same token though you wouldn't go to a doctors if there was nothing wrong. I get both sides of that argument tbf but the fact it kept him out for months falls more on the physios than the player for me the player will always want to play on especially if it's a younger player with limited chances

That argument only works up to a point because not every injury is that black and white. It's especially difficult when a player is hiding the extent of it because he's desperate to play.

Aye there’s certainly some blame on both sides. The physio should have perhaps taken into account the injury history of the player along with his age/maturity/desire to continue playing and made the decision for him. These things happen. My point is simply that Mikey should have known better. I’m sure he has learned from it.

The issue with Fuckoffgate is the lad had literally come back from injury, the exact same injury that he had to go off with. A manager of a club is there to do exactly that. This is where NL lacked. His man management skills severely lacked.

Where does this tie in with LG?

If you, the manager, has a first team squad and there are a couple of players that struggle to self motivate (we all know LG record and are completely aware that he falls into this category) you call him every day/every second day and pester them. “Leigh are you training”, “Leigh are you improving your fitness”, “Leigh pre season starts in 2 weeks you better be up to pace when we get back”. “Leigh do you need me to organise a PT for you to motivate you” Lennons lack of man management cost us last season pointing the finger at one player because he come back unfit is wholly unacceptable. Yes he was partly to blame but Lennon should have tried more to help him. He come to preseason training out of shape, Lennons punishment was to let him rot of the bench out of spite and trying to make sure his authority was adhered too. Lennons arrogance cost us the league last season, not Griff turning up to preseason unfit. A managers job is to manage, he clearly didn’t.

They both have a responsibility for it. There are plenty of things a physio can't determine just from a visual inspection on the pitch. There has to be an element of trust in what a player says at times. No one came out of that situation looking great, it was a complete lose-lose situation across the board imo.

I can see where you’re coming from and agree to a point about his man management but Griffiths isn’t a young kid just coming through. He’s been a top professional for many years and he should know by now where he lacks. If it is self motivation or the ability to get in shape he should take care of that. He makes more than enough money to pay people to help him keep on top of his game.

The top level professionals make sure of this as well.

But I do also agree to a point that Lennon has some blame in this, he should be doing more to keep players fit, assigning staff to focus on him and pester him like * and if he isn’t willing to put the work in then sell him.

The thing that gets on my craw, I believe he is the most talented, natural goalscorer we have had since maybe Henrik, maybe even on a par for natural ability.

However, his attitude is * stinking and it doesn't matter how much talent you have if that's off kilter, much the same as Eddy last season.

Too many second chances have been afforded and I want him just to get the * away from us.

Lennon absolutely slaughtering him on the radio today. Lennon’s not exactly known for his high standards of fitness and professionalism so for him to call him out like this shows just how bad Griff is.
He doesn’t deserve to play for us again.

oh Yay Griffiths and Lennon going at each other ,both with their heads up their own holes thinking they are right oblivious to the fact nobody gives a * what either of them think as they were both a disgrace. I wish the pair of them would * up and off

Griffiths would be as well just saying he won’t be drawn in for *-for-tat with an old manager and is there to focus on the new regime and * end it.

    He won’t but.

Tbf I wouldn't trust lennon to tell me the weather after looking outside so I won't take much notice of what he says

Griffiths and Lennon having a wee spat in public. If anything sums up the brass neck that is Celtic over the last couple of years.

The exact type of people and attitudes we should be avoiding as a club.

If he gets a contract Ange maybe sees something he can work with. If he doesn't we know it's because he's not at the right level of fitness, simple.

You'd think the Club would step in and tell Griffiths to do just that.. unless we want some truths aired.
