The fact we are in the predicament of having to give Ralston another year because we are low on numbers is testament to how much of a state we are in thanks to this board. He is nowhere near good enough. From Lustig, Elhamed and Frimpong, we have now got Ralston. What a shambles. Keeping Ralston is just more downsizing by the board. This board have ripped the * out the club, but it looks likely they will get away with it.

 

I believe Ange will choose players to bring to Celtic that can deal with the Scottish weather and wintry conditions. Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Albanian.

 

Can we afford players from that hungarian team last night? Thats the kind of heart and effort I want.

 

I wouldn't put Ralston in against a junior team and Griffiths has done nothing to deserve yet another chance. How many times have we been in this position glaring gaps in the team where we need to buy players and it always starts with the window is just opened and ends with signing absolute dross in a panic buy on deadline day. Ange has known for weeks now he was going to be manager there is no reason we couldn't have players in for the qualifiers but yet again it hasn't happened which in fairness is probably more of a failing on the boards part rather than the manager

First training session by Ange today. Heard him shout to LG hey oldmate what times smoko usually at the morning.

 

haha worked in oz for a stink - 3 smoko's a day outside lunch good times lol - the aussie's love their pies also! haha good old aussie bakeries, barefoot bowls and a few schooners

 

roll on I think he will make an impact.
speaks well I think players will raise their levels from the get go.
lets go - first few signing in the door make them impress and any player on the fence and not up for this season can walk now!

 

I wouldn't argue with a word of that mate. No-one could have a lower opinion of our board than I do. I wouldn't keep Ralston if it wasn't a case of "the devil you know". To be fair to Ange - he has only arrived yesterday (no fault of his) and we play in Europe in 4 weeks. Given the number of players that we have lost - I don't think we had much choice. You are correct - it is a shambles.

I'm not expecting instant miracles from Ange and I'm not going to blame him for what he has inherited.

I think we will see relatively quickly if its another downsizing exercise or not. I expect to see Eddie, Ajer + Christie go. I know we are not going to spend 12- 15m on a single player. However, if we get to the end of August and all we see are a collection of cheap options and loans, then we will know that the board haven't changed.

 

I liked his line … ' can you not wait for the first game'...' im actually looking forward to my first training session' - for me this speaks volumes he is happiest with cones, balls, training, tactics and doing the important and priority stuff. Roll on lets back the big fan and hopefully the board give him funds and we have the right eyes on the players we need to hit the ground running.

Soro was in training an hour early doing a few extra bits!

 

First interview of his that I've watched. Comes across as a decent guy. Hopefully he delivers because I can't deal with John Kennedy taking charge of one single more game for us.
