I hear what you are saying peej, and tbh he probably will get a chance to see if his attitude can change as we are going to need him in the first few months unless something drastically changes and we sign players soon.

I don't know why we even sign Ajeti looking back even at Basel he wasn't amazing and I just can't see anything in h that makes me think he's going to come good. I hope I'm wrong but I think we have been sold a damp squib.

He did very well at Basel, was still only 23 when we signed him and he was signed for £8m 12 months prior and was never given a fair crack.

If he makes himself a bit more agile and fit I can see him having a big season. He’s good in the box.

Amazing what Griffiths can get away with compared to Ajeti.

I think if you whip it into the box then put pressure he will score. We were * on the wing last season.
He started really well, I was surprised how quickly he went down hill. I think he will need a partner upfront though, I can't see him as a solo front man.

I’d say it’s the exact opposite. Griffiths was getting pelters for being out of condition while Ajeti lumbered about at a snails pace with not a lot being said.

People talk about Griffiths being a natural finisher but Ajeti looks far more clinical to me..

I just don't trust him due to his attitude and fitness. Also quite slow..

He can deffo play the lone role but needs pace on the wing's providing him..

There's a part of me saying this guy could come alive under our new style but question's hanging over him like the above also. I honestly dunno..

Nah not for me man. Think Griffiths, all in, has gotten away with absolute murder compared to Ajeti.

I'm not convinced by him from what I've seen. Yeah he had decent second spell at Basel but it wasn't amazing he wasn't prolific. His £8 million fee means nothing as it was from the EPL and they throw money at potential.

Simple…he is not Celtic class in my eyes.
And I’ve watched many Celtic strikers come and go….not a time to trial him again IMO,get rid.

He certainly knows where the net is but his fitness is a concern and he loves a dive

Still think there is a player there, he clearly knows the way to goal as his early form showed, I just hope everything after that was a symptom of our management rather than a player downing tools or not giving enough

I have seen very little to inspire hope, but saying that, clean slate, give him a go, suspect we would be unable to offload him anyway. Just another piece of * poor scouting.

i doubt he would be able to get himself fit enough to carry out his end of the deal

    My thoughts exactly.

The same * willing to give Griffiths his 15th chance are demanding Ajeti be booted out the door after one poor season with a dud in the dugout.

Think there's a place for him here. Listened to Alan Morrison (Celtic by numbers) on the ACSOM on Saturday there. Best show they've done in a while. They went through the squad based on their stats last season. Ajeti according to the numbers, is a a player well suited for Ange ball.

His numbers for winning back the ball were the highest of our forwards. Griff was zero FYI. His shooting was all from in the box, this aligns with Ange tactics as his teams shoot from within the box mainly. Again Griff is the opposite. He drops deeper and likes to shoot from distance. And the type of runs Ajeti makes is consistent with Ange's philosophy. So on that, if he gets fit and gets a proper chance/run in the team, there could be a useful player in there for us.

There won't be as many coming in as we hoped, but if Wykes is coming also, I think it makes sense to keep Ajeti. Certainly deserves patience as shown to Griff repeatedly.

Definitely feel he should be kept and given the season to show whether he can come good. He clearly was never fully fit last season but maybe with a good pre-season behind him we will see a different player next season. For me he did show enough quality in front of goal to give him a shot at it.
