The issue with involving Griffiths is if we activate his extension he’s on £16k a week. Hibs won’t pay more than £4 or 5k so if we extend Griffiths deal he won’t be going anywhere near hibs unless on loan with us paying most of his wages.

I thought hibs signed him on free after dunfermline but there was some sort of fee paid, which would have likely been buttons. I'd have taken him back then and loaned him out immediately. The way we should be doing with any prospects we see coming through. That shankland was a free at the same time hibs signed Nisbet and I felt we should taken both and loaned them out right away.

The Japanese duo would be quite exciting. Both extremely talented and touted as the next big players from that part of the world.

If it’s true? That Howe was not impressed with Celtic transfer targets...then it does not bode well for summer signings

Get the impression Howe wouldve wanted to spend big to guarantee success and go back down the road in 2 years time. I'm more than happy bringing through youth or whats the point in Lennoxtown but there needs to be the right blend of experience in there

I feel there could be something in the Mat Ryan one.

This one makes more sense that the other linked players

Not clicking a * the Sun article.. does it mention he's in negotiations with Arsenal to return there? I thought they were pretty keen to secure him after a decent loan stint..

Lazy scouting but with the amount of players we need, we should 100% be looking at Roberts on the cheap. Knows what’s needed to win at Celtic, offers something different and if he doesn’t produce he’s done enough this season in the Championship to get our money back.

We need so many players in that it’sva no brainer for me.

As long as we don’t play it off as the star signing.

:56:It says that Ange could line up Ryan. Wow, what an exclusive, anyone of us could have written that :76:

Yes Ryan is still being lined up by Arsenal, but as a bench warmer. Arsenal is the club he supported as a boy, but he’s also the type of player that doesn’t like sitting on the bench.

Howe’s big signings have been all round gash and I had the fear when it was rumoured he was demanding the Bournemouth DoF here.

Because they spent a lot of money on *.

We already made that mistake with bowing to Rodgers with Congerton. Managers shouldn’t dictate the full club structure, you can be an amazing coach like Rodgers but have poor judgement about guys like Congerton.

I think that one has some substance though, just loads of different sources came out with it very quickly. With a few papers that clearly know * all using weasel words like ‘could’ to cover themselves.

    ‘could’ also defo be pish.

Agree but there is a difference between what we see as spending big at Bournemouth up against city, utd etc to spending big up here spending that bit more and buying players of proven quality usually guarantees success

He spent £260m, the fifth highest spend in the Premiership in his time at Bournemouth.

He spent it on guys like Jordan Ibe and Dominic Solanke.

Suggested Ryan before he left Brugge.

He'd be class for us I think.
