Imagine how down you'll be as a player. Go off after a horrible season. Come back expecting a new manager, optimism, better training etc. Arrive and its Kennedy still. Ffs

So are you happy to just accept what the board are doing? That's the other option.

May be in the minority but I couldn't care less if Muscat comes with him.

As long as AP wants him. We can't have it both ways - people not wanting his coaching staff thrown upon him but then the one guy he actually wants and we have people moaning.

Might have been a * of a player but if that's who he wants go for it. Roy Keane wasn't exactly a Saint either with that challenge on Haaland but I'm sure plenty of our fans would have him in an assistant role.

Looks like its going ahead then.

    A hugely underwhelming appointment.
Whilst I do hope he will be a success, I fear that the odds are too heavily stacked against him and that the task is too much.

I cant understand how the board have come to this decision from either a footballing or financial perspective, especially given the current financial climate, and if it doesnt go well it will only create more disillusionment between the fans and the board. Defo gona be an interesting month ahead.

Said it yesterday too, really couldn't give two effs about his football background as long as he's a good coach and manager wants him..

Might install some backbone and steel needed after last year's spineless effort.. definitely knows whats needed to succeed in Glasgow

I'm actually looking forward to see what this guy does, i have 0 expectations so he can't do worse than lennon surely,

As for him bringing Kevin Muscat with him as his number 2 i see no problem, i backed walter Smith as the scotland manager and i backed stuart McCall as strachans number 2 in the scotland job as long as Muscat gives his all for celtic in his role i have no objection

IMO it shows a naivety and a lack of understanding of what he's walking into.

He will already be our most unpopular appointment in decades. Goodwill is going to be in short supply, there'll be no honeymoon period. If things go Pete Tong early doors then he will absolutely come under fire for bringing a Hun to the club.

The problem isn't that he was a dirty * as a player, it's that he played for the Huns. They would NEVER hire the likes of Petrov as their assistant..

I don't want Ange and I want Muscat even less so but if Ange is the man and that's who he wants then fine but as long as he's aware it makes his unpopular appointment all the more unpopular.

From everything I've read/watched I think he's the kind of character who won't care and will hope to win the fans over with the teams style of play and hopefully success.

But I think he's going to need summer and winter transfer windows to get the team to be his and in the shape he needs them to be.

Stockholm Syndrome CSC is 100% a thing.

Why do people want an ex hun in as the assistant to a totally underwhelming appointment of a manager

We should bring in Ionel Ganea as assistant :fear:
It would make Kennedy * off!! That might sound sick, but the thought of a Hun in our coaching team is sicker!!

If he does bring that dirty * Muscat with him, I won’t be watching next year. Stopped watching this year when I wanted Lenny sacked and will continue to do so when I want other managers sacked.

Hopefully that's how it pans out. Management is about making unpopular decisions from time-to-time. If his convictions are right then I'll be the first to eat humble pie and admit I was wrong.

The rebuild is so big that it's difficult to see how it can be done satisfactorily in 1 single transfer window but if he doesn't get off to a flyer then he's not going to get time.

The majority of our support are already against his appointment, so if we have a rocky start in Europe and going behind in the League, any calls for calm and more patience will be met with a big 2 fingers from the support.

I'm hoping it works out for him because I've been quite excited from what I've watched/read.

That's also the biggest fear, if he doesn't get off to a decent start where you can clearly see what he's trying to do, there's no chance the fans will give him time.

I'm hoping we don't just expect to win win win, but also don't think losing/drawing too much is acceptable either. It's kind of difficult to know what's acceptable but feel like we'll know when we see his Celtic team.

It's Celtic Football Club. Anything other than win win win is never acceptable but even moreso when there's a £40m+ prize on the line next season with automatic qualification to the Champions League.

The board know this, they know he's unpopular and if Ange doesn't know right now he won't get time to implement his ideas in amongst middling results then he soon will.

He shouldn't even need much time. His style seems to be similar to Rodgers and near every player will remember that. A bit of coaching with up front movement, back to using wings to spread the field and before we know it we're skelping the huns singing ozy ozy oi oi every goal.

Almost certainly not. They won’t give up power if they don’t have to and the support won’t force them to do it.
