Someone said Ange has a good philosophy and you immediately said "yeah but Deila!" .. give over.

He’s not a journeyman in the slightest.

He left the Australia national team in 2017, having been there for 4 years. He’s now in his fourth year in Japan.

He’s not hopping from club to club every 12/18 months.

Everyone starts somewhere yeah. Is 55 old for a manager or something?

Deila did have a good philosophy though. More so than Strachan who played pretty boring stuff in all honesty. Who would you rather though? Strachan of course. The other poster said he would take Ange over Clarke purely based on philosophy.

At Chelsea he is expected to win every week and actually was doing well for a period he also it seems has a knack of developing good youth players Mount, Abraham and Tomori off the top of my head. As I say I don't particularly want him either but would defo have him over Ange
Dortmund (unemployed) to Celtic is unrealistic but Yokohama F Marinos to Celtic is fine ? I never mentioned Rodgers and don't think Howe is anywhere near his level

I'll agree with you there. Philosophy isn't everything and I would happily take a supposed negative manager if I thought they were good enough for the job. I don't think that about Clarke.

It’s not old for a manager. He isn’t just starting out though is he. He has had plenty time in management and thus far nobody of note has took a gamble on him. There’s probably a reason for that.

You are clearly stuck in a little EPL bubble view of world football if you would have Frank Lampard over basically anybody else.

Mate I made the point about Calum Davidson winning 2 trophies in his first season earlier and you told me Ange had a better CV so his past is obviously relevant. Lets compare the last season they had then as surely that would be fair as Davidson only has 1 season to judge by ?

Not that I want Ange, but for some reason I feel like Lampard would have been a disaster here.

You aren't even worth discussing with at this point and that's just the truth of the matter when you're coming out with * like this.

HAHAHAHAHAHA Aye mate I'm a signed up card carrying EPL fan boy that's it. You have known about this guy for 48 hours and are having pokey * wanks over him I'm merely stating concern and I don't think he is good enough. I've also stated I thought Howe was over rated and I am by no means an advocate of Lampard they are literally only the 2 names I have mentioned from the EPL.

Tell me more though about why nobody wants him as he is Australian though please ?

Maurizio Sarri was a journeyman, jumping between sides in Serie D and B before finally getting a break and joining Napoli at 56.

Age doesn't really matter all that much in management. And not everyone needs to be a young up-and-comer.

Probably already been posted. Celtic Trust have put out a statement of no confidence in the board. Pretty scathing as much as it can be.

My problem with you are your suggestions. You don't think Ange is good enough and that's fine but all of your suggestions are either unrealistic or much worse options than Ange.

Yes, Favre to Celtic is unrealistic. He's been managing in the Bundesliga/Ligue 1 (at a couple of big clubs) since 2007. It's not remotely realistic that he's going to go from coaching at that standard, to standing on the sideline at McDiarmid Park and the Tony Macaroni Arena.

What's your point about Yokohama? I'm not saying this is the right move by the club. I want someone more high profile, just like you do, but the names you mentioned aren't realistic.

Guys like the Slavia Prague manager is who I think we should be aiming for. Unfortunately, the club aren't as ambitious as that.

Look at the bigger picture for the majority of the support felt Howe was the best candidate. We were in negotations which is fair enough time then began to drag on and on and on and on we now sit here 95 days since Lennon and have recently been unable to conclude a deal for Howe and are all of a sudden in for some guy nobody has heard of who in his most recent completed season came 9th in Japan. None of those are rumours or suggestions thats the facts of the matter
