Howe would have been a great appointment in my opinion. Exactly what we need right now. It would have got the fans back on side and optimistic again. They have made an * of us again and are trying to hide their red neck by coming away with this guff about it being down to back room staff and it being out of their control. Now we are going to get a manager they really want in charge. Someone they can give peanuts to and tell them to transform the team in the biggest rebuilding job in the clubs history. This will backfire, but fortunately, enough fans can already see this for what it is. Asking us to pay full whack again this season with no guarantees of how many games we will get to see, whilst penny pinching on a manager and downgrading in the transfer market again, because that is what will happen. Scandalous what these rats think they can get away with.

Howe hadn't the appetite or balls for the job.

The board didn’t have the same ambition as him. We will never know the full truth, but I know this board and the lengths they will go to. They are the common denominator when deals fall through.

I'm not disagreeing regarding the board. Still reckon Howe looked for any excuse to back out. He left us hanging for 3 months. Bournemouth and Celtic is like chalk and chess and I don't think he had the strength for the job. Didn't fancy a two horse race, meeting sevco Neanderthals on the street or being in the media every day

The Australian Bielsa :56:now if we can just uncover the Latvian Messi and the Bolivian De Bruyne we'll be good to go.

Well this job is not for the faint hearted and I think Eddie Howe didn’t have the metal needed to take it on * he couldn’t handle Burnley had to jettison back to the south coast after a short time there. I think the appointment we have made is a two fold issue. First is with the protracted time Howe took to eventually knock us back this will have all the managers of that calibre thinking there is something wrong at that club and I’m not touching them with a barge pole. So trying to get favre or a manager of high calibre will be very hard I think Steve Clark would be the only other manager of that level we could get and that’s to late for us.

my second opinion is if Harkin is coming in as DOF and that’s been cleared then maybe he had a hand in pointing us to Ange, maybe he knows him and his calibre as both of them are CFG employees and I have said this a few times now but maybe the CFG link is more important than we know

    True..

But he is different in the fact he's never managed in the EPL, so possibly less likely to jump ship the way BR did..

That argument won’t fly ... not while we have Jim Duffy floating around.

To be fair hiring your assistant and first team coach is the bare * minimum and we didn’t do that, so we didn’t even get to the point where he needed to look for an excuse.

Take over for 3 months apparently. There is no reason after what we witnessed last season for either Kennedy or Strachan to be here moving forward they are a part of the problem if it is to be Ange he needs to come on with a blank canvas and get his own people in place
