Really don't think that can be true as uefa website says to be fully qualified with a pro license a candidate would need to have put in a minimum of 720 hrs of course work, spread through c, b, a then pro licenses.

I agree it's no Stick to beat the guy with but it is a problem as it can be gotten around by having a fully qualified assistant, and we all know who that would be.

Sad state of affairs that I'd rather take a shot at this ante guy than a certain horror show like Roy Keane. How has it come to this. Surely we can get and deserve a better appointment than this

It’s not as if he doesn’t have any badges or many years experience as a manager. He has coaching qualifications, they just aren’t accepted here. I think that’s fair because he hasn’t coached in Europe. Why would he get something he doesn’t need to worry about?

It is true though. Yeah they have to put in work but it’s extremely rare they don’t get passed, especially when they manage a professional club.

And yeah it is easy to get passed it by having the assistant so isn’t really an issue.

Yes? I think most Asian based fans have have been pretty clear that this is a superb signing and you don’t know what you have on your hands yet. He’s going to transform the way you play.

Is it any wonder why he has never coached in Europe going by the reaction in here? It’s the Eurosnob attitude. There’s no Asian coaches, no Oceanic coaches and barely any American coaches in Europe atm. Are you trying to tell me a guy that plays in Scotland his entire career is more tactically minded that someone in America or Asia?

As for your reservations about recruitment. It’s true he might not drag a B-grade championship type over from Bournemouth with him, but he has intimate knowledge of Japan, the other Asian leagues through the Asian CL, Australia as well as Europe. He is a respected manager down there, the best young Japanese and Korean players might no longer opt for the Bundesliga and instead come to play under him.

Aaron Mooy absolutely loves Ang, given he has a Scottish passport already, I imagine the calls to get him out of the CSL would of already been made.

He’s going to be looking at different markets than you normally would have. He will pick the eyes out of the best Australian youth prospects too.

What in your opinion makes the J-League equivalent to the English Championship?

You're missing the point. He's a * 55 year old unknown who is only been selected as he will drop everything and be grateful for not even being second choice.

It's a disgrace. It's a disgrace that people aren't calling it out for what it is. A * joke.

If you’re talking what he done- Dutch league always been on par with spl granted Ajax punched above their weight in Europe but winning 2 Dutch cup s ffs, Calum Davidson won 1 league cup and 1 Scottish cup in his first season, can remember at the time majority of Celtic fans weren’t delighted he was our choice of manager to stop them getting 10 in a row

Yes. Someone who plays his entire career in Scotland is 100% more tactically minded than someone who plays their entire career in the US or Asia. Because of the reason you make in the sentence before your question. Coaches from Asia, Oceania & the US aren't as good as European coaches.
    That's not Eurosnobbery, that's a fact.
You'll undoubtedly have been coached better in a full career in the SPFL over a full career in the A League, J League or whatever letter league.

The biggest concern if we announce this Australian guy is that he will come with nobody and we are stuck with Kennedy and Strachan. They have been a big part of the problem, Kennedy had a chance to show what he had and failed miserably. If Kennedy has his UEFA coaching licence he will be staying.

Heard he's bringing Skippy the kangaroo to replace Kennedy and a box of Tam Tams to replace Strachan.. so maybe it's not all bad

Any talents in the J league you'd currently recommend that he might be able to get?

With regards to the reaction in here. We were on the verge of getting one of best young managers in Britain only for it to get * up at the last minute.

Bournemouth may have been relegated under Howe, but he got them to the EPL in the first place and kept them there for 5 years, and in doing so earned the respect and administration of some of the best managers around for his philosophy and tactics.

After the * we've had to put up with under Lennon, a guy who's a monumental downgrade from Brendan Rodgers, we as fans expected the next appointment to be a bigger name, and rightly so.

    Howe was supposedly that man.

Fans are angry that we feel we've been given the cheap option again. An unnecessary gamble.

Similar appointments at Celtic, ones with experience of coaching in Europe, have not ended well.

    Complete and utter bollocks.

Some of the clubs you are * housing setups makes the likes of Hibs and Aberdeen look like conference sides.

We had attracted about as big name of those who were realistically possible but 3 months later the board realised his coaches didnt want the gig

Ao Tenaka is one to look at.

Howe spent a * fortune and got the side relegated, he bought more * than just about any manager of the last decade. He spent £8m on Brad Smith ffs.

I can’t honestly get my ahead around the difference in opinion on here between Howe and Ang. Ones the messiah and ones the apocalypse. It’s hilarious from someone with more than 12 hours knowledge on 50% of the topic matter
