Australia vs Scotland in a sporting sense is about as comparable as Celtic and the A-League clubs you are * on.

If Ang has no idea what he’s in for, you have no idea how sport in general is held in Australia.

Like I said, the general snob reaction in here is enough, I hope you pass, you don’t deserve Ang as a manager. He’s the closest manager in style I’ve seen to Bielsa and that’s as high a compliment as I can give.

It'll be revealing to see where he turns up. A quickfire appointment somewhere would suggest he did indeed take us for a ride. Either way we shouldn't have allowed ourselves to be in that position. Utter stupidity and total negligence.

With all due respect, you lost the league by 25 points and Rangers went undefeated.

    He’s not a step down.

"I hope you pass" .. who the * do you support?

I lived in Australia for years I know exactly what it's like..

And you are correct the absolute pish that passes for "soccer" in Australia is nowhere near what's expected at Celtic

Exactly and in that lies my point we should be looking for the best available. Is this guy the best available ? 100% he is not. He would be seen as a cheap yes man appointed by Lawwell due to the City group connection

And to go back to your comment he came 9th 36 points behind the champions so I think you just said Lennon is a better manager

Bielsa has an attractive style but you're as likely to win by a few as lose by a few. There's a reason he's won one trophy in the last 20 odd years and that was only the English championship last season.

Totally agree with that mate- been handled very poorly but I certainly wasn’t creaming my pants over an ex Bournemouth manager, obviously don’t know the ins and outs and I know what our board can be like but I got the impression he certainly thought “ you need me more than I need yous so I’m calling all the shots “, honestly he can * off into obscurity as far as I care

He barked at the budget thats quite well known. Didn’t want Deila involved either, its whatever because Roy Keane is hopeless and hasn’t managed in years.

And just won the BBC’s EPL manager of the season..

Bielsa likes projects, he doesn’t manage top sides by choice.

Utter *, if he wanted to manage in Europe he would have got his Uefa coaching badges before now and took a * job.

Plenty of job opportunities in Europe for managers.

South American Mangers you say pochettino
    pellegrini
    Simeone
    Coudt
    Sampaoli

That’s current, I could go back with other managers.

Like I said he is not the manager to take us forward. Absolutely * not.

Wim Jansen was ages with Ange hadn’t did anything of note in his managerial career but still managed to turn it around and stop the 10 from a far better rangers side than the present one, not saying guy is going to be a big success no one knows anyone will be but guy deserves a chance before people start judging him and writing him off

I think you're missing my point. His style doesn't tend to bring silverware, especially in European football where opening up every time will get you quickly found out. If you're guy is similar to Bielsa then I don't want him.

    No.

I joined this site to provide some insight on Tom Rogic when he joined. Funny how he was called a * * at the time not good enough for Celtic by all on here (look at how that turned out)

Mate you are clearly a * troll if you think the Aussie job is more high pressure than Celtic.

    Clearly a banter account this.....

In many cases, Australians are incredibly nationalistic from my experiences.

I’m finding it hard to trust some of the judgement from the Aussies on this thread because of that. You can tell by the tone of their posts how emotive they are.

Truth is most of us have no idea how good/bad this guy is apart from what we read on google.Dont think its relevant how bad/good soccer is in oz or japan as we are looking at the manager and not the talent or lack of talent on the pitch.

He,s not the guy any of us want but who knows maybe he could turn out to be something special. Its a utter disgrace where we find ourselves now and the future looks grim but who knows maybe we will get lucky.

Like others iv not seen anything as bad as this at the club in a long time(if ever) and feel powerless to do anything about it but as i have said b4 the club wont get another penny from me for the foreseeable future and i urge everbody to do the same ..not another penny.

He still can’t last a full 90’s without blowing out his *.

I mean look at the next big thing in Aussie football that Man City kid who has done * all bar warm the physio bench while he was here.

No, I think you are missing my point.

He very rarely takes the job at a top contending side, so almost automatically rules himself out by virtue of that.

He very nearly won Ligue 1 with Marseille.

Newells Old Boys were relegation fodder and he turned them into a powerhouse.

Leeds were a bottom half championship side and they finished 5 points out of Europe in the EPL 3 seasons later with very much the same squad. He’s turned Stuart Dallas, a winger from Brentford, into one of the best #8’s in Europe.

Like I said, Ang is similar in tactical style. He plays a high press, plays out from the back and is very attacking. Demanding high fitness standards. It is not at all a style the Scottish League has seem much of.
