Potential Manager Suggestions?

So if fergal Harkin has taken an active role in the process why hasn't he been announced to give the support some sort of idea what the new structure will look like. Also if we are employing a coach who has never worked in Europe are we to assume he will have little to offer in terms of identifying signings and if fergal Harkin is doing that how long has he been doing same? More reason we shouldn't have been held over a barrell by Howe and if Harkin was the board choice for dof he should have been in place officially for months

Who said i have blindly handed cash over? Mines in my pocket still as it will be nearly 2k i will be forking out. Big choices to be made cash wise. If he gets it he will get my backing. 100% agree if this guy was coming in as a coach with a manager then I wouldn’t be arsed but he’s not and the fact he done so * poor in his league last season is an absolute * joke.

Honestly I would rather give the job to a Scottish manager like Ross, Clarke or Davidson rather than this *.

No hiding the fact the board made a monumental * of the dealings with Howe. But if the Aussie guy is being brought in to coach the team to the principles of how city play and someone is there in the background Harkin and co identifying young talented players to fit that system then a lot of boxes have been ticked with regard the structure I wanna see at the club

Brutal generally doesn't go down well in Europe these days. Players pretty much now hold all the cards and would down tools if they feel they aren't being treated properly. if it is indeed his style he would find himself isolated from what is an already pretty toxic dressing room very soon.

I don't know anything about him, other than what's been said, and shown, here. Making a judgement on that, it looks like he doesn't respond well to pressure or criticism. We have a press here that will be dying for whoever the next celtic manager is to fail and will be on his case from day one. A hugely underwhelmed and * off support, sections of which will be on his case immediately, the rest after the first hiccup, which will be the euro qualifiers.

If appointed, he is doomed to fail. Under different circumstances it might have worked, this summer is just not that time.

 

Would genuinely prefer Callum Davidson to this guy.

 

To be honest I'm not writing him off, I know nothing about the guy apart from what Wikipedia says. I do agree partly about clubs refusing to take a punt on non European managers too or ones not managing in Europe. I would also rather have him than Keane, Ross or Lambert. What is annoying people more is that they made fans think they were investing in a big manager which would likely mean decent player budget. They sold season tickets and the following day said tough * it ain't him. They are going down the cheap route, that is what is annoying fans. If they brought him in 6 to 9 months ago to replace Lennon I think people would be more welcoming. Given him those months to salvage the season and assess the team for next year knowing Eddy, Ajer, Christie, Moi, Laxalt, Duffy and Kenny were all leaving, so he would know how to replace. Some would have forgiven if the reason we didn't have a manager because we had to wait.

 

This is all a facade to make Keane look like a good signing.
