What we know with absolute certainty is that the custodians of our club DO NOT understand compromise...

They don’t compromise with the fans whatsoever, they didn’t compromise with Rodgers, they don’t compromise in transfer dealings, and, they obviously haven’t compromised with Howe and who he wants as his back room staff..

Surely Howe would have been in contact with them this whole time and on the same page. Unless all of them bailed out at the last minute? That seems unlikely. If they had contractual agreements or weren't 100% on Celtic I think Howe would know about it.

I don't understand how we could have been so close to appointing Eddie Howe for talks to just break down at the last minute. Yet apparently we're in advanced talks with another candidate now? Timeline seems off.

 

Why are we still talking about this? The board are incompetent. They are not good enough to do their job. They need to be removed immediately.

Dom McKay is woefully out of his depth, same as Lawwell was.

I am genuinely not sure he will ever be in a job of any Calibre again if he is saying he can’t do it without coaches and backroom team he knows. It really writes of his credibility.

I wanted him to bring the team in he wants too but if they aren’t interested and he is he surely has to build a new team around him, still having a say who that is of course.

If the reasoning is what is being reported this should have been established long ago without letting it get to this. Absolutely shambolic again from those meant to be running the club.

 

Board have royally * it but tbh Howe isnt blameless here for me, he's royally * us over for months and has either

A. Rejected us because we couldn't get his coaches, which shows a lack of willing to adapt

B. Rejected us for another EPL club, almost certainly Palace.

 

100% right.

 

Rodgers and Howe are respected managers in the game in England.
Word will start to get around just how much of a shambles this board are, more specifically how * they are to deal with.

You can just about forget us getting any decent manager from down south for awhile at this rate.

Add to that how we treat some players, be it in attempted transfer dealings, or when we actually sign them and then let them rot.
I wouldn't be surprised if we have a serious bad rep among clubs down there now. Something we can do without having.

At no point has our Club came out and said we are going for Howe, all speculation and Hun media looking for a story that isnt there. By the same token our Club havent came out and said negotiations have broken down, again speculation and stories to get headlines. That article from the Daily mail is click bait *. It grabs your attention by claiming negotiations have broken down over backroom staff, but at no point does it say in the article that negotiatioms have broken down !!! He may want certain back room staff but who says they actually want to move? They may have families that are not willing to move that far North from Bouremouth. On the positive side things must be happening behind the scenes with the amount of player movements that have been done. The board are pretty detached from us at the moment but even they are not that stupid to jeopardise season ticket sales. Until the Club say something it will always be speculation, Hun media looking for a story or report pish on us. People need to calm down , we need the Club to get this appointment right or we could be like the Huns , changing manager every other season until Slippy came a long.
