What you don`t understand will be that Conte will have negotiated a pay off to leave now. The chances are he wont be getting that paid as a lump sum in one go. He will be getting it over a period. I suspect, that if he subsequently takes a position elsewhere in the interim, then the payments will stop.

Similarly, Howe may be under contract wise with Bournemouth until the end of the season, hoping that if they got promoted, his "promotion" bonus would also get paid.

As I`ve indicated above, the chances are he was on more money with them, than he will be on with us. So why would he risk his family`s financial security signing a contract with us prior to the 31st May, when in all probability, it runs out.

I`m cool with things as long as there has been work being done in the background.

If there hasn`t, then the Board need to re evaluate their position.

 

Just seen that Peter Grant has agreed to become Dunfermline manager, think he was rumoured to be joining us as a coach.

 

There must be a movie in this. The twists and turns of getting a Celtic managerial team.

 

Will be interesting to see if Conte does get a new gig, one way or the other.

Just seems odd we only hear these strange rumours of managers willing to stay out of a job when it involves us.

I fully believe Howe is the man and will be here in due course, I just aint buying in to the fan made (and paper nonsense) rumours for reasoning why he isn't in the door now. Or at least announced with a timeframe of when he joins.
