    Aye you're right mate..

Probably makes it worse that he grew up a supposed Celtic fan, although I use that term very loosely indeed..

Think we're all agreed that he's a proper bawbag regardless..

Teuchter *. Vaguely remember something about him congratulating Scott Wright on IG for joining they mutants and all.

I get that some Scottish players aren't born and bred Celtic fans but this guy continually sets me off. Armstrong fell into that category too but he never bothered me.

Get him sent down to the Championship. Couple of million quid. Good bye

I thought Christie was a Celtic fan though

Anyway I feel like he's definitely been trolling the fans this season

For me Christie did not want to be here this season and should have been sold. He also isn't as bad as some make out, nor is he as good as he thinks he is. When we were getting the best out of him his biggest strengths were running beyond the strikers into space, and getting into the box for cutbacks or rebounds, where he would often take the shot early, which was all pretty effective.

That part of his game was completely neutralised by playing him wide right. When he is cutting in he has too much time to think, coupled with his poor decision making and his awful long range shooting. That's not his fault (the being played wide right, not the other parts). And the less said about his corners and set pieces the better. Again I don't particularly blame him for that, the management team should have identified that and taken him off those ages ago when it was apparent to everyone else he was * at them.

If a team plays him centrally, and to his strengths, I can easily see him doing fairly well down south, in the same way Armstrong has. He's never going to be a standout like Tierney or McGinn though.

All in all I'm pretty ambivalent as the whether he stays or goes, potentially he could fit into they style of the new manager after all, but I'd only have him if he wants to be here, and I really don't think he does, nor will I particularly miss him when he's gone.

I think Christie will do well down south. He is a good player who has been playing out of position this season. I do think its time for him to go though.

He absolutely will, he’s suited to that league.

He’s been playing for himself this season rather than the team.

See when he set up Eddy’s winner against Red Bull, does anyone think the Christie of this season would pass or would he go for glory himself? That’s the difference in him for me.

SOUTHAMPTON have targeted Celtic star Ryan Christie for a bargain move to the Premier League.

Saints will watch the Hoops attacker at the Euros as they eye a cut-price deal.

Christie is out of contract at the end of the year and has refused to sign a new deal, despite Celtic’s best efforts.

The Hoops will now look to get as much as they can for him — but it will be well below his true value.

That makes him an attractive player for Southampton, who have bought several top signings from Celtic.

They took Virgil van Dijk, Victor Wanyama, Fraser Forster and Stuart Armstrong south for a combined £42million.

Christie scored Scotland’s goal in the 1-1 play-off draw with Serbia before their stunning shootout victory.

Saints hope to see him play in his favoured attacking midfield role at the Euros this summer rather than out wide.
