Such a strange time to bring his political opinion into focus. I disagree with tory policies as much as anyone but I just can't understand the relevance at all. Strange

Did they ever find the person responsible for blowing up Allan McGregors car?

James Mortimer the Glasgow nightclub/restaurant owner had his car fire bombed yesterday afternoon also. Wonder if they’re linked?

good mail @seanm you were out of order but it takes a bit of bottle to apologies to the forum. i agree that tories bring nothing or very little to the table but this is a scandalous attack on a family who it would appear have done nothing to merit this kind of treatment. hope its not your last post but there are ways of making a point without sending the forum into uproar:celt_2:

Detectives are appealing for information after three cars were set on fire deliberately outside properties in Bothwell in two incidents in less than 24 hours that police believe are linked.

Police were called to a report of a vehicle on fire at a property in Croftbank Avenue around 10.40pm on Monday night (May 17), before officers then attended a further report of two vehicles on fire at a different property on the same street around 2.30pm yesterday (May 18).
The suspects in the second incident are described as 1) male, slim build, 5 ft 10 ins tall. He was wearing a black tracksuit with white on the sleeves and trousers and a face mask and 2) male, slim build, dressed all in black and also wearing a face mask
In both incidents, an accelerant was used to set the cars alight and a burgundy vehicle was seen leaving the scene in the direction of Bothwell Main Street, possibly a Vauxhall Vectra.

Detective Constable Chris Mclaughlin said: "We believe the two incidents to be linked and are appealing to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area at the time of the fires to get in touch. Did you see anyone matching the car or suspects' description? If you have any personal CCTV or dash-cam footage that could assist our investigation, please get in touch."

Anyone with information is asked to contact police quoting reference number 3960 of 17 May. Alternatively, information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Seemed to be started in the car, could be accidental, the explosion would then be caused by the petrol tank.
But you never know this is after all, the best wee sectarian country in the world.

Looks like absolutely nothing to do with football or Lawwell personally then. Maybe a case of gangsters heavies getting the wrong house?

I know and I'm saying it should be dismissed as ridiculous. Entertaining that type of speculation gives football fans an unfair reputation. It's essentially saying that, although considered extreme, it is in the spectrum of football behaviour, which it absolutely isn't.

If this happened to Dom McKay do you think anyone would speculate it was disgruntled Rugby fans by any stretch of the imagination?

Of course not, everyone would dismiss that as ridiculous. No one should be seriously speculating this is football related, yet forums and social media is full of it.

At an extreme stretch it could be a couple of arsonists or mental patients using football as an excuse to do it, but they'd be doing it for love of destruction rather than an attack on a football figure. This type of thing simply isn't part of the football conversation, as we all well understand, so lets not give the braehead clan hockey fans another excuse to bash football supporters by entertaining ridiculous and unfair speculations.

I would guess it's either that or it's an indirect attempt to threaten a neighbour who might be involved in something.

It could also be a family member involved with something that has dragged him into it.

Who knows? Either way it is horrible and I feel sorry for him and his family.

It might have been been an accident we don't actually know if it was bombed do we ?

The other incidents of a similar nature would probably make that unlikely though

That article you posted talks of an accelerant being used.
