Potential Manager Suggestions?

I honestly don’t think the board can afford to * this up after the way things have panned out this season. They will know they need to get fans onside, especially to recoup any loses from the last year.

In saying that, nothing surprises me with our board these days.

The Bournemouth staff will already know if Howe is asking them to take the job or not - so heads will be turned, or not turned, regardless if made public.
If it is about bonuses and payoffs, then the Bournemouth board are not going to be mugs, they will know more than we do as supporters and the rumours aren't exactly quiet, they will be all over it if so. Yet we hear nothing of the sort, so again very unlikely to be true.

It's the Celtic board playing the Celtic board game, trying to remind the fans who is in charge and thinking that a timed announcement with ST renewals will be the thing to get most folk back on track - and it will unfortunately work.

If Howe is a done deal, there is no reason it shouldn't be announced. Even if the backroom staff have said they wont leave Bournemouth till after their season, so be it - can still announce Howe now.

 

Absolutely. They’ll be glad the Huns have temporarily taken the spotlight off of their negligence.

 

I dont even think they are trying to be clever here with timing. I honestly think if they were in a position to announce the manager today then st renewals would have followed tomorrow.

I don't buy mckays line about still working on the best way to get season tickets arranged, or whatever it was. For me, the only reason renewals haven't went out yet is because we don't have a manager yet.

I believe, as soon as we have a manager signed up then he will be dragged from the boardroom to the press room before the ink is even dry and renewals will follow the next day.

 

It wouldn't surprise me if the deal to bring in Howe isn't cut and dried and each day we * about getting a manager we are giving the zombies the advantage of buying the best Scottish talent in the league and each day that goes by without a manager it's a big ask for next season to win the league .

 

Bournemouth winning tonight what the * does that mean. They’re going to get promoted and put a right spanner in the works aren’t they?

 

I think the Bournemouth staff are getting emptied anyway. It's rumoured that they are getting shot of Woodgate regardless of them going up or not

 

I think even if they get a manager they know they’re * with the potential virtual season tickets next year.

Folk are wanting money back for this year, never mind spending on a subscription for next season.

Personally I hope no one buys season tickets until August/September at least. It annoys me that everyone is forgetting how we were treated this season.

We simply cannot let it slide.

 

Unfortunately you can already see the support is starting to "forgive" and do the whole "on to next season, back the manager" *.

50k season tickets, if renewals was in March, they'd be lucky to get 20k, but now? Too many are in the "get our title back" frenzy, that 40k+ will sign up the day they launch.
Our fan base are extremely fickle as a whole.

 

We keep going on when is the manager coming in but what we have forgot about when is the DOF coming in you would think he be announced by now and I fear but hope I'm wrong they will announce Howe as manager and while the fans have the feel good factor the board will go the cheap option and the new DOF is John Kennedy think that's the final straw for me with the board if that happens .

 

Kennedy remaining at the club in any fashion is a big no from me.

The DoF chat was, as with most things concerning off the pitch, simply fan and media chat.

The club have not told us they are chasing a DoF or a major restructure that we all desire and need for this club.
You can bet your bottom dollar, they will go as cheap as they can, but just flashy enough to get a little bit of hype.

If Howe is the man, it will be done the same way Rodgers was, which is fine short term, terrible long term.

Every day now, I am losing more and more faith that the right thing I had hoped for, will not come.

 

Brentford will do them in the reverse.

Bournemouth were camped in, hanging on a bit at the end and had a number of player's looking done..

Captain centre half and midfield destroyer Pearson forced off. Brooks looked done also..

 

Has anyone ever taken this long to appoint a new manager? Even my hometown club Doncaster lost their manager after us and today appointed their new one.

 

I was wondering earlier if it took us longer to appoint MON after Barnes was sacked

 

So the latest from the so called ITK on twitter is that he can't be formally announced yet because there are contractual issues with Bournemouth

 

We could simply announce that he was taking up a position with us the day after this contract ends.

The only contractual issue that's holding this up is that, so far, Eddie howe hasn't signed one for us.

 

Another day, * all from the shambles running the club. Absolutely embarrassing the way they are handling this.

Clubs have sacked managers and rehired then with up turn in fortune in this time.

Some clubs have even announced new managers while they still have their current one
Some clubs have even announced a new manager who is currently working for another club in preparation for the new season.


But Celtic? We will have you believe that this is a complex matter that takes time and two CEOs to finalise.
