So scunnered with Celtic the now I haven’t cared at all about him going really. If we had won 10 and then he left I think I would be in tears for days.

 

Best of luck Scott Brown. He’ll be missed immensely and extremely hard to replace HH

I am not sad that he is leaving, it is overdue imo and I don’t buy all the soppy * he deserved a send off etc, he has been part of the problem this season, he deserves no praise for this season.

 

Of course he deserves a send off. You don’t erase 14 years because of one * season.

 

Not his fault he kept getting picked. Done his best for us but it is him that has been let down by incompetent managers.

 

Can't believe he bows out at the end of a season like the one we've just had, after everything he has led us too. This season has been unforgivable from the people who run this club.

He got a testimonial, should have left after that with a send off, he was honking that season has been since with the odd good game now and then. He extended his career with us due to incompetent management, a good manager would have dropped him long ago. It might seem I am being harsh but I am glad he is leaving, games against the sheep should be an easy game with him in midfield for them (if we get a decent manager and some well needed players).

I remember back in the day some of the discussions I had with folk in his early days at Celtic, there were a lot of doubters and folk who thought he didn't have the quality to be a Celtic player.

I argued the point that I think hus character alone would make him a great player for us, but in no way could I or anyone predict the extent of his influence and success in a Celtic shirt.

Not much else to say that hasn't been said, so I'll just repeat the heartfelt thanks to the man for everything he's done for our Club.

The club has completely destroyed any sentiment, happiness, anything after this season.
Brown should be going out with grown men in tears, instead far too many are of the feeling "thank *, clean slate" which I know for me is just the initial reaction, because he will be missed. But the club have brought this entire season to a really bad low where we (I) struggle to want to afford any of these players/coaches any sense of gratitude.


That said, he of course is a club legend and I really will miss him around the club. All the best Brown! Welcomed back any time he wants!

 

He's been done for a while now and should have left or retired the year Rodgers bailed. He's a legend though, will be weird seeing him in red.

For me we will miss his force of character more than anything. There are a lack of leaders in that dressing room. We need some big personalities in....
