Do you think Scott Brown would feel disrespected if he ran out and seen a few Palestine flags ?

 

If you have a look on social media whilst the banner was up and assumed to have been 'allowed' by the board its probably the best publicity they have had in the past 12 months

Where is the outrage or upset all the days they put up other displays that have nothing to do with the middle east....guess its ok then.

 

As i said before,other displays are used at other times where was the outrage or upset on those days when there was nothing on the middle east. As for the true colours,you can get to * with that.

 

Ironically, the club taking it down has made it a bigger “issue” than it would have been if they kept it up. By angering the support they’ve taken much of the spotlight away from Brown.

And I would imagine Brown couldn't care less about the night not being all about him. Do you think he would want the flag taken down?

 

Really is amazing how loyal this fanbase is given the utter * running the club. Full of tories who don’t give a * about the support and haven’t done for years.

Why wouldn’t they want that publicity? The only publicity we have got from opposing it is standing alongside The Conservative and Unionist Party. Who as far as I can tell are the only major Scottish party not to show solidarity with Palestine.

The board might want to be careful what fans they * off at this crucial juncture.

 

That's a wind up surely ? You could literally equate that to anything. There is no banner up of Henrik Larsson does that mean we don't like him anymore ? Or when we had the captain leader legend banner did that mean we hated everyone else in the squad ?

Flags were hung over seats that's all it was there was no message written on them or anything at all like that it was just flags

 

People were dying yesterday and the day before and years before,i understand that but one single day without a political message is not going to make a difference in this * up world.

 

If politics don’t concern football then why the political involvement for the super league, why a poppy remembrance every year, why have certain countries historically not been allowed to participate in competitions.

The murdering of innocent men, woman and children far outweighs the importance of the end of a guys career at a football club.

Our support is renowned for showing solidarity with the oppressed and when the opportunity arises to show support nothing should prevent that from happening.

 

As has been mentioned, these corporate slugs will back worthy political endeavours like LGBTQ and BLM, because they're safe. They are part of public consensus and it's good PR.

When it comes to showing solidarity with victims of a western backed apartheid state, they're aghast at the idea of politics in football. Spineless neoliberal scum.

 

Do you even know it has seriously kicked off over there in the last few days? That Palestinians are being forcibly removed from their homes, homes they have occupied for 50 years, so that Zionist settlers can move on in their place. Do you know that because they resisted they are now being bombed out of their homes by a far superior power, backed by the most powerful country on the planet?

Have you even took 30 minutes out of your busy day to watch the videos of women in children screaming in fear as white phosphorus bombs are being dropped mere metres away from their homes?

Have you bothered to look at the pictures of children mourning their dead parents or the harrowing photos of babies, actual babies, lying on a slab in a morgue?

I guess not eh?

 

But the point a few have made is there is women and children dying today,and there is outrage or upset and the suggestion there does not need to be a banner about it. I am merely pointing out that people die over there every single day of the year but there is times we do not protest and its been ok in the past.

 

Oh, well, then.

Again, expressing sympathy for other human beings is not political.

 

You don't see any symbolism or disconnect of the board removing flags then ? Regardless of where or what day it was the point is that it was done and our board who proclaim to be 'a club like no other' removed them.

 

Every time you converse with a person not entirely comfortable with political statements (not just on here) you inevitably find out they know absolutely hee haw about what they are actually arguing about.

It’s uncanny

 

All my life i have seen the footage of them getting murdered beaten and raped. Forced out of their homes and off their farms that they have had for thousands of years. I have seen Israel turn into 1930's germany and brutalize people with help and weapons supplied from the UK and USA. Do not take what i have said today about the display and \0/ as a lack of sympathy for their cause. I just don't agree it should have been done today given the fact it will change * all in the * world.
