But he has scored more goals against other teams as well.

You can try and spin it how you want but the Thumb scored against the zombies and in Europe.

Bayo is not good enough and done absolutely * all to prove otherwise.

Toney was never here. Nor was he ever going to be with his wage demands and the transfer fee.
Plus we would of played Edouard in front of him, seen him for 10 minutes here and there, thought he was pish and flogged him for a loss.

He has one goal in the champions league against Anderlecht, 3 in the europa league against Sparta Prague, Rosenborg and Fenerbahce. His last goal against sevco was the 2017 season, in-fact he’s only ever scored 4 goals against that lot.

He has a good record against Ross County though

perfect fit for us on the wing to compete with forrest.
he has talent, he can drive past players, can create and score and if he is well loved at a club will excel.
moi has did * all yet we took him back on a contract.
pukki did * all with us and excelled at Norwich.

paddy is achievable for the club and our finance, he is aware of the club environment and would safer in some capacity than the likes of shved etc etc unproven quantities.

his goal at the weekend was the paddy we all know - he had bad injury luck etc.

id have him back in a heartbeat and wouldn't cost a lot. still only 24 and played in England, spain and Scotland with goals in Europe and in league winning teams.

no * sherlock it is called irony.
wage demands ? didn't know you were his agent - im sure he wasn't asking as much as duffy was getting esp from a league 1 player at the time, the transfer fee was around 5/6 mill ? we spunked that money on ajeti and duffy.

well that was a lennon problem - a team like celtic do best playing 2 strikers in the Scottish league - guns blazing and put teams to the sword.

eddie should have been sold last summer for top dollar, he was sold false promises - we should have phased toney into the team last summer

Maybe if our scout department used stats, they would of realised duffy was no use to us.

Toney is on £21-23k a week in the Championship in England. Don't think you need to be his agent to realise along with his rising profile and hype his demands would be a bit above what Celtic was willing to offer (rightly or wrongly).

Then consider Ajeti is on around £13-16k a week by reports and you see why we plucked for one that was proven in a comparable league (Switzerland) but seemed to be on a hard luck run, compared to one that was simply purchasing hype and lesser proven potential on a larger wage.

explain how vardy went from Fleetwood to Leicester - did Leicester not look to another top European league.
good players play in lower divisions - good scouting network who you have faith in.
I surprised Strachan didn't get it over the line - was he at the club at the time? he obviously worked with him and knew what he could offer.

hooper came from Scunthorpe - why did he sign him and not some striker from Switzerland, Denmark, Czech rep etc.

so toney would be on less of a wage than scott brown lol

for 21-23k toney would have banged them in and made a difference in the rangers games, plus in the 10 in a year season those kind of mindsets proved costly, joke of a club

How many goals has Bayo scored for us against all them teams?

You not counting his qualifying goals for Europe either so you can try and spin it again.....

That’s not irony at all Watson. Rather than trying to be a smart *, learn the meaning of the word and then try using it in the right context before trying to come the clever *.

As for the rest of your post - absolute * is being kind.
We won a quadruple treble, nine in a row and several cups playing one striker. But aye, two is the Celtic way.
You are the shitest troll on here.

I aint saying we shouldn't/couldn't or haven't found great players in that market, just stating the same as Senna, the wage demands will have been too large for us to want to part with - rightly or wrongly. And the use of Ajeti was to show where we are/was in terms of wages.

trying to play with one striker and break down teams has been our problem all season - no threat from rb or lb - the last time we actually played good football was pre-covid when eddie and griff played along side each other.

with those trophies we had a decent team and plenty of depth with a manager who had every player thankful to be starting in the first 11, when lennon came in our standards slipped.

at home against any team in the league to play one up top is a joke, we only play that way to keep loan players happy, one up top works when you have the personnel sadly we don't have any sort of level to play that way and often eddie gives up due to lack of running involved to try and box teams into their own half.

at times we have even tries to play a false 9 with Christie in there. one up top requires quick and directness on the wings with full backs bombing forward with good deliveries - we aint got that.

to play one up top you need a hitman, someone good in the air, someone to hold play up, strength - this isn't eddie's game.

give me 2 up top anyday to stretch the game, make runs behind and flick ons.

in the 10 in a row season, the lack of pushing the boat out from the board cost us dear, and whoever was involved in signing the players. the rangers had players signed in may and june last year, they pushed the boat out and their risks got rewards.

our season was * ups. what ifs ( what if we got roofe instead of ajeti, what if we got toney, what if forrest didn't get injured, what if dubai didn't happen, what if mc gregor wasn't andy goram, played turnbull and soro earlier in the season) the crazy thing is before we went to dubai we still had a slim chance for the league.

...and now as the weeks go by they are slowly impacting our start to the new season and European qualifying rounds playing the waiting game for eddie howe.

slept our way to this once Rodgers went, from there on in every decision the club made was downhill with good players never being replaced.

I’m not spinning nothing mate, my point is he’s vastly overrated and i backed it up with his lack of goal action against the huns (you brought it up) in Europe (you brought it up) and i left out the qualifiers as it’s like the huns claiming Morelos was the highest goal scorer in Europe based off his qualifying goals lol.

Just for the record his goals in the qualifiers came against, Stjarnan, Malmo, Lincoln FC, Astana, Beer Sheva, Kalju FC & Suduva. Well done if you had heard of half these teams before we played them.

I am not sure the above is true, it has been confirmed he was here by him and it was the financials with Peterborough that was the issue more than anything else.

In terms of not playing because of Edouard,
I think we were looking for someone to partner him and eventually replace. There’s every chance Toney might have outshone him.

I would also be surprised if Toney wanted more than what we are paying Ajeti.

My big issue with the Ajeti over Toney signing is surely from discussing with the player you get a feeling about the players attitude and willingness to make an impact. Not to mention the natural attributes both possess, where Toney’s looked a better fit.

Toney despite being at lower levels was clearly a player on the up, where Ajeti for the second time in his career had moved out of Switzerland and failed to establish himself or make an impact. Ajeti has never really looked interested since he got here. Yes he scored a few goals at the start but more often than not he has been invisible in games.

Overrated when he has scored important goals for us? Yet you would give someone who is clearly not good enough a game before him?

You have backed nothing up mate, nothing I’ve used facts and figures that he is a goal scorer and done more than what Bayo would ever do. That’s a fact.

So like I said before them goals don’t count in the qualifying games then? How many has Bayo score for us? League and in Europe? Second time I’ve asked by the way.

So what you are saying is if we haven’t heard of a team and someone scores it doesn’t matter? Pish logic.
