Potential Manager Suggestions?

I really don't understand why people share these stupid rumours. They always have a tone of rumours in the on rumour & some people still share it FFS.

We all want news but please stop sharing this utter garbage.

This statement tells me that there is someone all but signed ! Celtic would usually talk about there is a process they need to follow and getting the right man in charge etc , they haven’t mentioned about looking for anyone , they said they are working hrd to appoint the manager and the relevant staff ! This points to howe and the bournmouth coches he requires ! Celtic stating they cant speak publicly tells me its because these coaches and possibly howe are contracted to bournmouth still (howe rumoured to still being paid) it would all tie in with the rumour !!

now i have been heavy critical of celtic and their dealings but i believe if howe is the number one choice ( he was mine also )and we have to wait till season ends then so be it ! If indeed its all agreed i am sure work has been going on behind the scenes for transfer targets , out of contracts etc !

 

I am in agreement in the most, but I can't buy in to the Howe still being paid by Bournemouth argument to withhold announcing him at Celtic.

If he has been caught up in such a stupid deal where he can not enter employment again for an entire year, not only would that be dumb on Howe to agree to that, it'd arguably go against some employment law AND the kicker here - do we not think Bournemouth and their lawyers would be clued up on whats going on and if had the same inclination of the deal being all but done, that they would be seeking their own legal advise on this matter? Either way, what difference would it really make it we make the news public or keep it private. Lawyers would know either way.

Yeah id agree im just goong on whats going about in rumours ! I think its the staff at bournmouth tahts the hold up ! I think howes to intelligent to agree to the celtic move without actually having his backroom staff he wants available to him ! He has probably seen what has happened with lennon and thought “* that” , also i think with peter grant leaving alloa then there might be some truth in him being assistant but he obv has contractual obligations to his employers just now so this cant be announced either ! So think there is 3 or maybe 4 that is holding the deal for howe up from being annouced and not just the two !

 

I just don't get why we can't announce Howe now, then announce staff later. Surely the most obvious thing to do to get fans back on side?

I would fear the Peter Grant rumour - does he have a link to Howe? Assuming he doesn't, I don't see what reason Celtic would have to go for him. 1. it would be us forcing an Assistant on Howe (the one true staff member Howe should 100% pick himself) and 2. he's been here before and look how that turned out...

 

That's what I would have thought as well.

But the other day one of the backroom staff announced on Twitter he was leaving Bournemouth to join Cincinnati in the MLS at the end of the season. So if this individual can do so, then why would it be different for a similar announcement.

 

Bournmouth are in playoffs , i think the couches listed are due a pay increase if they are promoted , so if thts the case maybe financially its out of celtics reach to get them ! Peter grant was assistant manager at bournmouth when howe was a player maybe even captain ! Knows him well , also bartley howe had him at bournmouth and took him to burnley when he went there so obv rated him as a player ! In grant and bartley its two people that know scottish football which howe is not maybe all that clued up on so would make his transition smoother ! Look at rangers when they employed leguen ! Massive appointment to them and was really highly regarded brought his own staff and players with no knowledge of scottish football and bombed massively cause they knew nothing on our game ! Howe could effectively do the same , but having a couple of people who know the scottish game in there could be a masterstroke and get him up to speed straight away , where as if it was howe and his bournmouth staff then you would have to allow for time for them to get a feel for the scottish game

maybe its a coach thats surplus to requirements! Think the two we want are coaches who take the training on a day to day basis ! Think one of thems in bournmouths spanish train video that was going about

 

At this stage I couldn't give a flying * if Eddie Howe brought in Hugh Grant as his assistant.. just get it done..

Saying that I'd be absolutely amazed if its not Howe. And people saying they don't want this assistant or that assistant need ta shut up whinging..if Howe trusts them and its not Kennedy and Laptop I'll be absolutely * delighted..

 

Something I would love, actually.

 

Plenty of players to interest the likes of Howe regarding who goes down in the derby /Wednesday game that could be got for a good fee. Roberts, knight, bannan
