Starting to take things a bit more serious.

Doing alternate days of running 5ks and strength training with home dumbbells & kettlebell. First day back at the proper gym tomorrow.

Tracking meals properly on My Fitness Pal to make sure I'm not ripping the *.

2kg shifted in the last 2 weeks, many more to go...

    Me too mate.

Were you low carb? Very easy to lose weight on low carb but even easier to find it again.

Me too guys, although I lost 4 and a half stone 4-5 years ago and have put every bit of it back on since then.

I started a diet a couple of days ago, asked to be referred to Weight management as I need to lose weight to get surgery on an incisional hernia in my upper abdomen which has been causing me a lot of bother.

My heart has also developed hypertrophic cardiomyopathy ( abnormal thickening of the heart muscle) due to a prolonged period of very high blood pressure which was picked up on my yearly check up.....so...I really do need to get my act together if I want to give myself and my body a better chance at a healthier life.

Exercise is practically out the window for me, or at least I am limited but I do try to walk about 5k a day at a reasonable pace for me.

Just done 7.5km myself. Left knee has been feeling it so need to manage that a bit. Niggles like that are to be expected when you’ve been doing runs for more than a decade though. What I really want to do is get back to kettlebell circuits. I always enjoy those.

Aye I get the knee or sometimes feeling both but usually when I stop, never really whilst running..

It's only that lower back and right side of my hip that i can feel either hurting a bit when I run or after when I'm sitting. Sometimes feels like it's clicking even when walking after a long run. Need to watch that myself..
