    "part of our success"

Has he *, he's been here during mediocre days, good days and absolute * days behind the scenes.
He's been given a chance to step out of the shadows and prove himself - he proved he is in line with the * days.

Guys not deserving of a job for life at Celtic, very few men have been. He most certainly is not one of them.

At least, he ticks the box for surviving the next manager. We will never get rid of him. :giggle1:

    Exactly.

If he had anything about him, he would've came in and make bold changes like dropping Brown and Christie, shook up the tactics and got the players playing.

The thing for me is a sporting director is someone that should be able to look at the bigger picture and ensure problem areas are addressed even if they're being ignored by everyone else.

If John Kennedy was diligent and meticulous enough to be a DOF/Sporting Director, then in his role as a coach he should've pro-actively addressed the appaling set piece defending we've seen all season.

Anyone who can coach a squad of players and allow that to be ignored - even if it's not their direct responsibility - shouldn't be in any position of overall authority.

Everyone involved should be professionally embarrassed by our performance in that area this season.

If we are seriously considering making Kennedy responsible for succession planning, when he continues to select the departing Brown ahead of Soro in dead rubbers, then we deserve everything we get.

If this is true the club is a laughing stock and what the * is going on there and we going down to the cheap option again and can see a few not renewing their season tickets if Kennedy still there in a major role and he needs to move on like Lennon out of the * club .

There have been reports in recent days that Christie is free to leave in January.

The fact that you "don't understand the animosity" is comparable to saying you don't understand what makes water boil.

But why not... allow me to indulge your comment for a bit.

If John Kennedy has been a "part of our success" then by the laws of logic and transference, he has also been part of our biggest domestic capitulation in modern history.

Kennedy was nothing but a half decent defender who suffered a knee injury whilst on duty for Scotland... NOT US.

Since his injury, he has been a scout, a Celtic TV reality show host/presenter, an academy coach, and an u19 coach. Good successes with the youth are hardly attributable to him, since by his own admission, he has following, under instruction, the tactics and set up of the first team, should youths be called upon to step up.

He was promoted to first team coach for no other reason than to facilitate Ronny Deila, after the latter was shoehorned into the managers chair, once would be mangers had declined the position, out of reluctance at the inability to choose their own assistant ...other than Ronny.

    See the pattern here?

Whilst under Ronny and Collins, Kennedy was supposed to be (but never confirmed), our defensive first team coach. A position which was rife with amateurism and ignorance, which led to the first instances of "animosity" towards Kennedy.

When Ronny and Collins were ousted, Kennedy was the only first team coach at the club technically still there, thus, he was kept on in that position after the arrival of Rodgers and his staff.

Again, when Rodgers and his staff jumped ship, Kennedy was still there, wandering the halls of Lennoxtown, looking for something to do.

    Enter Neil Lennon.

A wonderful, doninant end to the season, a treble secured, the job was Lennon's. But what of little John Boy?

He was promoted to temporary assistant under Lennon. Surely the job was his after the treble was secured?

    Yep...

BUT not until Johan Mjallby said NO, and others (rumoured to be Thompson, but the board vetoed), had also declined.

What was Lenny to do? Go it alone?

    Nope.

Enter Gordon * Strachan's son, and our resident piece of furniture... John Kennedy. Nepotism at its best.

When Ronny and Collins left many were perplexed he was kept on.

When Rodgers and Co left he understandably was kept on due to the circumstances.

When Lennon AND Kennedy AND the squad were making an * of our biggest season in decades.... he was kept on.

Now that a new manager is on the horizon, and changes of seismic proportions are afoot... we're being told that he's being kept on.

    This does NOT BODE WELL.

He has knocked back jobs, he has piggy backed managers... both good and bad. He has made a living of the sympathy of our support for over two decades now.

By no stretch of the imagination is it inconceivable to assume that Kennedy has made more money from us as a veritable * coat hanger, than he would have as a football player.

We owe him NOTHING. Not anymore.

At this point, he owes us EVERYTHING.

He should either * off and make his own career, or just plain * off.

If Lennon is culpable, So is Kennedy.

And if further convincing is still miraculously needed at this point...

Have you seen our line ups? Have you watched us play? Are you seeing something that Kennedy is doing that the vast majority of our support are unable to?

Wait... are you in the Matrix? Is John Kennedy?

As a side note to the Lennedy Loyalists, who keep referring to ex manager or current player soundbites, or indeed (and quite hilariously) the boards faith in him, as a defence to keep him leeching of OUR * MONEY... here's a bit of cheat sheet for ya...

A: what the * ELSE ARE THEY GONNA SAY?
I work in a private school and sit and work alongside the biggest * * I've ever met. He's a mate, but he's clueless. My school has a BOD... if the board ask me if he can do my job? Great guy, great guy, top fella. Knows the place, knows the job aye. * else am I gonna say? Na he's a *. Good guy. Sound. But na he's a complete spa.

B: The board? Really? The board see something do they?

Ronny Deila hung him out to dry years ago and tried to blame his managerial shortcomes on him. Celtic fans have let that fester since. Only took us 3 years to stop calling him ‘the defensive coach’.

If this DOF thing is true and Kennedy is appointed then I’ve lost all * hope!

He has no * clue about football! That’s clear to see with his team
Selection, tactics. What’s the * point having another * parasite stealing a wage when he contributes absolutely nothing to help the club move forward.

DD and the rest of the board have a lot to answer for and if Lawwell’s replacement lets this happen then it’s just a shows we have a like for like regarding a new Lawwell.

Skunnered absolutely * skunnered about this rumour.

He had the chance to change it when Lennon left, he has done the exact opposite and * kept it the same.

It wouldn’t surprise me that it was Kennedy running the show for a number of months while Lennon got * all the time.

Kennedy has shown absolutely * all that he needs to be kept on. He needs to go and we need to start a fresh.
