    Agree with you both.
2 as it stands, 3 if we assume ajer is off.

I'd accept 2 if we know Hjelde is stepping up, but the 2 need to be of ajer and Julien class at least.

I think we can definitely get away with two, as I’d expect Hjelde to be more than able to act as backup. Save a bit of money for the myriad other areas that need it.

CHRISTOPHER JULLIEN could hand Celtic a boost by making an August return.

The French defender was expected to be out until September after undergoing a knee operation.

But SunSport understands Jullien is now working towards an earlier return date as his rehab steps up.

The £7million Celtic star has been doing intensive work at the French Federation's Clairefontaine base.

Jullien has now started outside running on the training pitches and is making good progress following his January surgery.

The 28-year-old was crocked against Dundee United in December after colliding with the post

He was forced to have an op as his season was ended prematurely - in a major blow for the hoops .

Jullien played just 14 games this season and had only recently returned from a back injury when he damaged his knee.

The towering Frenchman, who signed in 2019 from Toulouse, was badly missed as Celtic's ten-in-a-row bid crumbled.

Speaking in February, former boss Neil Lennon revealed Jullien could face up to nine months out.

But the influential defender is progressing well in France and will step up his comeback on his return to Scotland.

Celtic players report for pre-season on June 21 and it's hoped Jullien can make further progress at Lennoxtown.

After such a long lay-off, Hoops medics will take no risks with him - but the signs are positive.

The opening Champions League qualifier on July 20 is likely to be too early - but Jullien could be back in action in August

Lets hope this is not been rushed and he is truly 100% before he gets back on the field but if Jullien was fully fit and back for the start of next season in August that certainly would be good news.

Tiny bit of good news. Fingers crossed he keeps going and no goal posts jump out and surprise him.

    McGregor is the next Captain..

The only way he isn't is if he leaves.

I can't see us bringing in a woman to manage. If she's hot and can set up a team better than Kennedy I'm all aboard though.

I agree and so he should. He has been moulded as captain for the last couple of seasons. He will step up when needed and it’s one player we need to keep.
